Posting this in case there is an owner still searching for their pet.
A full description has been taken in order that should any owner recognise this they at least have closure.
Thought to be a first x collie / greyhound.Aged around 3 to 4 years.
No tag tattoo or microchip and a full body scan was done by highways and again by helper.
Alerted by highways after a fatal RTC and held in freezer pending our helper getting details.  Unfortunately this meant unable to sex the dog however possibly a female.
All black apart from white stripe down front from windpipe to front legs- max width-6” at widest part.Four white feet
White on tip of tail about 1.5” long . Tail is fluffy (collie like)
Heavy build about 25/26”tall. No scars other than a 3” scar on back left leg – an old injury around hamstring .
Both rear dew claws and stoppers missing (not from accident).
Would appear not to have been worked or run for a while.
Photographs taken but will be held so any matches can be made by doglost helper  who went to scan and ID the dog hence the good decription.
Highways will hold this dog till Saturday then will have to send for cremation.
