- Message from Lulu's family
Hi all, we spent whole day out again searching for Lulu.
We covered in our group from wroxham to potter heigham and then womack and then up as far as stokesby by multiple boats with many crews.
We had a reported sighting at fleet dyke which led us on mass to the area both by boat and on foot and extensive use of a video drone to scan the areas that we could not reach.... no dog found but she could have easily been mistaken for the deer that roam there.
On leaving after a very extensive search we then got news of another possible sighting at acle with pictures taken from the air so as the light was fading it was decided to take the cars to the location and searh the area.
We spoke to the owner of the land who was made aware of the situation and had not seen or heard a dog in that area and assured us that his cattle would have been spooked by the presence of a dog.
We regrouped this evening to disscus tomorrows plan and that is to regroup at st bennetts from 09.00 and run through the same areas again and possibly run our boat to gt yarmouth and back along the bure to just slightly widen the search area and leave one or two boats ar st bennetts with crew aboard incase any sightings come in at or near to that location.
Once again many many thanks to all that are helping us .....there are so many people doing things and looking out for us in our search.
Many thanks must also go to all the boatyards that have given us use of their boats .... Richardsons.... Barnes.....Boulters.....George at Ludham bridge....Bass Online.....the Blue biplane and all the people that are sending us hope and support behind the scenes.
The Hemsby lifeboat crew for their continued support and everybody that is taking part in this incredibly tough time for us.
MANY MANY THANKS . - 2015-10-20 21:03 Unknown
- Got everything crossed. Really hope Lulu is soon home in the warm xx

- There has been a fantastic response from local people, people have been searching the area on foot and also been searching by boat.
A drone was used yesterday and I believe is being used today.
There is a boat being lent out from a cruise company tomorrow and the next day to help with the search.
Praying this little girl is found safe x - 2015-10-19 11:47 Shelties Mum - Area Volunteer, Kent
- This breed are good swimmers having seen one swim happily for some distance in the River Medway. My heart is always in my mouth but the dog manages it.

- ChrisH - my post was after in response to Jayne's below it which is slightly confusing as it indicated Lulu had fallen into a broad in the St Benet's Abbey area. I thought it was important to know just where Lulu fell in for anyone looking. There are always a lot of holidaymakers in the area so not everyone searching will necessarily know as much as the locals do. Anyway, fingers crossed for her.

- nicolapicola - collectively the rivers and broads are known as the Norfolk Broads, so technically she was lost on the Broads, but yes it was on a stretch of the river Bure whilst moored at St Benets. Locals to Norfolk will know where this is. Sadly she is still missing despite extensive searches on land and water.
- 2015-10-18 13:39 nicolapicola
- I've been to the Broads many, many times all my life but never came across an inland lake/broad called St Benet's. The local press say that Lulu is from London and "fell into the water AT St Benet's Abbey" whilst ON A WALK. We moored once up by the Abbey - there wasn't anywhere else near suitable for mooring so it seems likely that she fell in the River Bure rather than a broad. Unfortunately it was at 7.15 pm and the current was strong, says the article (another reason for thinking it was the river). Let's hope she has got ashore somewhere safely and will turn up.
- 2015-10-18 11:14 Jayne - Founder Doglost.
- Tx everyone for sharing...Just spoken to Helen and St benets is an inland lake on the broads near st Benets abbey. Local broadsmen and fishing men alerted and on the look out. The boat was moored at the time so hopefully Lulu would have made it to shore okay.
