Had a look at both Hampshire and Oxford. Unfortunately neither was Jasmine. Had a call about 7pm tonight from someone in Gravesend area asking if I had lost a dog? I said "yes" but then the connection went down before I had a chance to say that I would call him back. The number was withheld!! Hoping that he calls back.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

"Cotmandene" turned out to be a false alarm. Another report, last night, of a dog taken to Bromley Police turned out negative. It seems evident that someone has her and will not be giving her up, just hope that she is happy (I'm sure that they will be). It's just so sad.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Sheepdoglady thank you for the link, I will look at this shortly and see what can be done. Another paper is always a good thing. If you could continue doing Swanley that would be great. I will be about on the weekend so will try and get some posters up then, and OH is going to take our dogs out to Crockenhill area and will keep a eye out. Ours are pretty good at sniffing dogs out, especially our pup as he likes to play, so if theres anything about, there smell them out (I hope anyway) Will update later. I can understand your despair ... when I was searching for the lost lab I felt useless, just wished I knew where she was. The morning we found her I'd printed out loads of pieces of paper (business card size) with the owner's mobile number on and gave them to everyone I saw. That meant that as soon as someone spotted her they'd call straightaway (thank heaven for mobiles!) When we were in the right area we had several calls in a row and then stumbled across her. She was wary to start with - as if she couldn't believe her family was there. I'd walked a little way off by that stage in case my dobermann started barking but she stayed quiet whilst the owners put the lead on and fed her titbits. Persevere - and don't forget to keep a pocketful of tasty treats to lure her with. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sarah, I'll keep postering around Swanley. theres another free monthly newspaper that goes to press next week. Itsd called the Swanley Chronicle and is left in many shops and supermarkets. Perhaps a press release to them? http://www.mediauk.com/newspapers/343062/swanley-&-dartford-chronicle ElaineLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Please don't give up hope. My first active involvement with doglost was when I helped to find a lovely lab who'd been missing a little over two weeks. She'd been living rough all that time and whilst she'd lost weight she'd obviously been finding food and water to sustain her. Good luck - Jasmine looks gorgeous. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Jasmines owner will not be available for postering from Saturday for a week, can I just put a appeal out that we try and get as many posters as we can out and about. Owners are going to complain about current advert in the Newshopper so hopefully we'll get a better one in next week. Chris - I have advised the owner on where to poster so that is all covered - have also advised them to go further afield and just to poster - poster - poster. Thanks everyone Sarah xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Ron and June Dont give up hope it's far too early for that. You need to telephone all the local newspapers - dont pay for adverts. Try the newsshopper, Swanley Times and Swanley Messenger they all know about doglost so say that you have called the famous doglost webiste to help in the search, but you must contact the news section it is they who fill the front pages - use any angle to aim for a good front page story. Get more of your lovely posters up around Swanley I've only seen the one in the pet shop. Put them in bus shelters as well. Run off some A5 copies and post through letterboxes in the houses nearest to where she went missing and also in the area she was heading. Stick your poster on you car and get friends and family to do the same. I've had to stay home today because of urgent work but a friend is out walking her dogs in the area around where Jasmine went missing and will keep looking. Here is a link for the lost pet section of the newsshopper for you to post your details: http://www.newsshopper.co.uk/news/pets/appeals/form Good luck Elaine Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Ron & June, as everyone has said posters do work, we just need to keep going until someone sees it who has seen Jasmine. As said its not instant and can take a couple of days or weeks even, we just have to stay positive. The newshopper article maybe small, but it is something, and people will see it and that is the main thing! something is better then nothing. Will try and call you later xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

June & Ron please stay positive for Jasmine. All it takes is that one poster for one person to see and put two and two together. Keep up the good work you are doing good news soon for you I hope. Please do not despair. She is microchipped - and she is YOURS! Posters and other publicity have worked time and time again - there is no reason it shouldn't work for you, but you have to make sure you keep her in peoples minds.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

There have been no reported sightings along the M25 re the Highways Agency. The advert in the local free newspaper is useless, supposed to be colour it's black/white and so small it's not worth the paper it's printed on so another week more or less wasted. It is no comfort, but I hope that she is happy in her new home because we are unlikely to get her back now. Everyone's interest is appreciated.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just to clarify, the M'Way Agency did NOT report back (as promised), too late when I phoned again today! I will phone AGAIN tomorrow. At the time when Jasmine lost herself, she came out of the woods, didn't see me so ran the other way along the path to the 2 horse-women (on the track alongside the M25). "They saw me looking for the dog, shouted, but said that I didn't hear them! They then continued their ride back home"! 3 days later one tells me that they had seen me searching! I searched a wide area for about 5 hours, walking and on a bike. Since then, with all the members of our family and friends, we have searched the fields and paths in a wide area daily. Early morning, during the day and after dark and I have fixed between 50 - 70 posters and I am now convinced that she must be with someone. Jasmine is friendly (and lovely) and gets on well with other dogs (my grand-daughter has 4 of all shapes and sizes) and she is great with children.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Crockenhill is a village but the road and bus route run through from Swanley through to St Marys Cray/Orpington. She's probably having a whale of a time checkling out rabbit holes etc. Thank goodness the weather is mild. I'll check in tomorrow night when I'm home from my classes, if shes still at large I'll arrange to go for a walk armed with smelly food and friendly small dogs on thursday. As per usual the police station was closed. I posted on the bus shelters around the town, in Asda, the aquatic centre, 2 newsagents and a fry cleaners. I walked round to the pet shop in station road but found the owner had put a lovely sign in the window, two coloured pics of Jasmine and laminated, it was very eyecatching. I wonder, would Jasmine go up to greet small dogs. My friend has a little jack russell and a cavalier puppy. I have to go to work tomorrow but if Jasmine is still missing on thursday we could walk the dogs in the area and see if Jasmine makes contact? ElaineLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
