Another fab CROSS POSTED UPDATE with link to a lovely photo/s of the hero's who actually FOUND where TYRA was trapped:

https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1072508846101804&set=gm.1488913784743939&type=3&theater

Here are the little dog and the little girl that spotted Tyra peeping over the fence. Two and four-legged heroes!

And thank you so much to their whole family for coping with the invasion of the rescue team who appear to have been allowed to charge through their house and garden, and make a hole in their fence, to get to our girl.

Big shout out to Gaz Wright too for braving the paddling pool (squelch, squelch. Bbrrrr!), the fence and undergrowth, and some crocodile teeth, to ensure she was quickly and safely secured!

CROSS POSTED UDPATE from her very happy owner:

Hi All.

So just a quick update - as i am very busy cuddling a Hungarian Vizsla.

Trya is fine- great in fact, - completely unhurt, she has a few minor cuts and scrapes to her ears, and a little fur missing around her nose. She looks like she has lost a couple of KG, but other then that she is perfect.

She has ate a little and had a good drink.

She has stayed wrapped up in front of the telly with her human sisters and is loving all the kissing and cuddles.

I have called the vets and I am waiting for him to call back to get a re-feeding plan together, and to see if she needs a visit to the vets.

I will wait till later to post the rescue story as i need the help of my amazing helpers Emma and Cate to get the full story together.

LOVE YOU ALL XXXXXXX

Wonderful news xx
Bo
How she was found "she was found by a family who live alongside the train track just as the first of the volunteers arrived
She had gone down the train embankment not 20yds from the volunteer meeting point and got herself stuck alongside their property but on British Rail land
The daughter went out this morning to see what their Lhasa Apso (spelling) was making a fuss about and saw Tyra head above the fence - the family now realise she had been there for days as their dog had been constantly asking to be let out - but Tyra hadn't made a noise"

UPDATED INFO! SEACH INFO FOR TODAY. The last sighting of Tyra was Mickering lane Railway bridge embankment, ( L39 6SR) towards the potato field. Could everyone park cars around the Beech Road / Sandy lane area and make their way towards the field to the right of the Railway Bridge at 11am, bringing your equipment with you. You will be directed into search groups from there.
We are still looking for Embankment search volunteers folks. Please post on appropriate thread if you can help with this task
(Contact info on 'help find tyra!' FB page) thanks
Sarah
We need some very strong torches for the embankment undergrowth search as we may not be able to cut the undergrowth back in some parts and we are still short of strong Volunteers to do this. You need to be wearing heavy duty clothing and gloves. Thanks.
Sarah

Hundreds of people have joined a Facebook group dedicated to reuniting an Aughton family with their missing dog.

Owners Louise and Simon Tyms have frantically searched for dog Tyra since she went missing on Monday October 19 at around 6pm. Tyra suffers chronic anxiety and has now been without her medication for three days.

Almost 900 people have now joined the 'Help Find Tyra' group on Facebook.

Louise said: "My dad was walking her at Town Green, Aughton Park when she got spooked and bolted.

"She is a much loved family pet, and we are devastated she is lost.

"She then ran towards the train station and was seen running along the track towards Maghull. Unfortunately that's were the sightings stop. Merseyrail have stated she hasn't been seen since and no incident has happened on the track."

The Tyms family are distraught at Tyra's disappearance.

Tyra is a Hungarian Vizsla, which is quite an uncommon breed. She is very slim and has a small bald patch on top of her head.

Louise says she is a fast runner and very timid; she is scared of people and very scared of unknown children.

She added: "I can't imagine how scared she is.

"I'm so grateful to anyone looking for Tyra but please be mindful if her fears. If you do see her please don't approach, just call me and I'll be there straight away."

When Tyra ran away she had a red collar on with a tag giving her details, she is also chipped.

If you see Tyra, or a dog you think may be her, please contact Louise Tyms on 07414850180 or Simon Tyms on 07818066592.

Have been out this evening at dusk around the lanes again. Tara's owner and many people are working very hard to find this lovely dog. A brilliant man brought a drone today. No sightings so far but fingers crossed she will be show herself very soon. There is an article in the local paper online today http://www.southportvisiter.co.uk/news/southport-west-lancs/familys-desperate-appeal-missing-dog-10314009
Sarah
Network Rail now have this as a 'live' incident. If anyone including Merseyrail drivers have a sighting of Tyra and can give a location they will send someone out onto the tracks and embankment immediately. Please call 03457 114141 (option 9) and quote service request notification reference 151021-000275.
Sarah
As both sightings have been near the railway line there is concern and a belief she may be trapped in the embankments. Network rail have yet to agree to access for a search. A friend has finally managed to get the urgent message through to British Transport Police who are now dealing with Network Rail re track searches. Any further sightings of Tyra, on or near the railway track please call BTP immediately on 0800 405040 quoting log reference number 378 of today's date, 21/10/15. Let's get this track finally searched folks!

Been out searching today. No sightings apart from this morning at 8am Town Green station on the tracks. She jumped the hedges into the fields, this is from the train driver. The fields around Mickering Lane and Sandy Lane. We covered over 5 miles today over most the fields. She is young and timid and will be frightened. Paws crossed she is home very soon. xxx
