- Glad another Romanian dog is found and safe. Would it not be an idea to have two leads perhaps one tied to the owner. Just a thought but seen so many bolting off into the night lately. Very worrying times for you. Glad fora happy ending.

- YIPPEEEEEE!!!!!! I am SO happy for you both! You did it! You got your baby home! Well done indeed. These clever little Romanian furbabies can easily be spooked or are escape artists. We have so many on DogLost. It's bad enough with our newly homed UK rescues, but these Romanians out do them all. They have probably had such a rough life so much can spook them, but gradually Nalle will adapt and enjoy her wonderful new life and family. A forever family. Thank goodness she has you, Helen. (I used two leads for at leas a year, on my UK rescue, one on the collar and one on the harness and even then my dog could wriggle out of both, but thanfully not at the same time LOL). God bless and kisses for Nalle xxx

- Getting hard to do Michelle..thank you for your help. We went down Alexander road first night..couldnt believe the broken fences and 1000 of ways for a dog to sneak into a shed or garage..We need Alexander Rd thoroughly checked again, along with Five Acres, Oldfield Rd and all those nooks and crannies inbetween.

- Are there any helpers who can search this area please? There is the London Colney nursery school, which will be closed now and Alexander Church grounds too..
There is also some green/field on my map centred in and around that triangle. Namely Oldfield Rd and Five Acres. I will head back that way as soon as I can. He could be hiding in any garage or garden.. - 2015-10-30 11:47 Michelle Area Volunteer-Hertfordshire
- We walk our dog in the fields in behind harper lane. There are fields from napsbury to there. I will poster that area this afternoon. I also emailed dog walkers in the area and they replied saying they would look out for him. I can also do Colney fields and macdonalds later on if it's not already been done. Keep positive :)

- WE HAVE JUST BEEN NOTIFIED OF ANOTHER SIGHTING AFTER THE INITIAL ONE ON THE HIGHT STREET. NALLE WAS SEEN RUNNING DOWN ALEXANDER ROAD, WHICH RUNS PARALLEL TO HIGH ST.
- 2015-10-30 11:42 Helen
- Large number of posters are being done now. All shops will be targeted. Although we have done main post office already.

- Have the lakes been covered and the land behind All Saints,if he gets over there it is very quiet with plenty of cover.

- You are most welcome, but you need to sleep a bit, when Nalle is sleeping too, or you can't function and that's no good. She needs you healthy and functioning on all cylinders. Can you poster all the fast food outlets or the shopping areas where there are take aways & restaurants and the pubs. Dogs very often sniff around these places when it's gone quite, late night or early morning, for food.

- Thank you so much Kim and Michelle. You are both giving me some hope. We have just returned from a big circuit and covered Napsbury area back to initial sighting on High st. So many places to hide..exhausted, as haven't slept since Tuesday night. Will print off more posters in morning and head back down. Thanks again.

- I have emailed the poster link to all the local pubs except Colney Fox ( can't find their email address) the new leisure centre, willows farm, the golf club, the social club, all the estate agents, library and dentists and asked them to print the poster and display it. My son put up a poster at the field next to Nuffield Gym when he was there earlier, hopefully it's not been washed away! Hopefully there will be some sightings tomorrow.

- There is always a possibility the lead can get caught up, but it is not often that happens. You'd be surprised at the number of dogs that run off with lead attached and get found safe even weeks later, still running round. See in the blue Reunited tab, Yeller ID 90167. Also, they often bark if they are stuck. Dogs don't want to stay in big open spaces; they want to be nearer to humans for security, warmth and food (even if you can't see them). Even if they leg it out into a field, once they have calmed down, they will come back. Now these Romanian dogs are clever, so clever that they are good at hiding and surviving in the wild. All dogs have this ability, but Romanians more so it seems. Keep the posters going up, I'd say work outwards up to five miles raduis but ensure area closest to where lost is plastered with them first of all. Along the roads, on telegraph poles/posts in the eyeline of motorists, also any where you can get them e.g. parks, green areas, pubs, lamposts, benches, taxi drivers, bus drivers, shops, schools. Can you get a printer to do a deal and print a few hundred. If insured, the company will pay. Even black & white photocopies are brilliant as they don't need any covering and last well even in heavy rain. Helen, you can do this and you will. Deep breath, get some sleep, eat something and on we go. Let's find your fur baby! x
