Oh my gosh! Wonderful news! Thank goodness he is safe and home! Poor, poor mite. As we all know on here, railway tracks are an owner's nightmare - this is one very lucky boy! Phew! Welcome home sweetheart. Hope your poor tail mends quickly and you soon get over your horrible ordeal. Well done owners! You did Wolfy proud! Freddie - you were so helpful to us posting sightings etc - thank you so much.
Welcome home Wolfy! xxx

Just a thought, Wolfy's owner is a freelance journalist who has done work for most of the national papers. I wonder if, having been through the experience of loosing her dog, she might do an article on what it is like and feature some lost dogs in it (e.g. Rafiki, Izzy, Buster, Bella, to name a few).

Again thank you for everyone's help and keen eyes we're very lucky - we're checking out all sightings on the ground and flyering like mad. Come on Wolfy let someone kind pick you up!

Thank you! x
.
There was a poss sghting of Wolfy last night 20:00 ish - he was seen in Newport Ave E14 2DG - near East India Dock DLR - owner went straight there but no sign of him. Been this a.m for a couple of hours scouring area. Poster with Gate Man for Newport Ave and at DLR Station. Owner has gone today as well. There was a possible sighting on Hampstead Heath this a.m / by the ponds but owner tweeted that this was not him. If he really was in E14 we think it's possible he made his way from Camden Lock via the canal path which leads to Bow Creek. This is only a guess, but would explain why no sightings since Thurs. Newham Dog Warden has been alerted. She has been very positive, saying Lurchers fend for themselves once = good scavengers and that he could easily have run this far. If this is him we need to step up the campaign and alert helpers in E14 / Docklands area. Meanwhile there is a major football match on at Arsenal today vs Tottenham, crowd will be 60,000+ all congragting around the Finsbury Park area for the 4pm KO. Have tweeted just about every pub in the area, and fan sites trying to get Retweets so that as many people as poss are on the lookout today. Wolfy is obvioulsy the maestro of hide and seek. 40/40 not out. come on Wolfy show us your nose. We all want you home #findwolfy
.
Just to add, we are not sure which way Wolfy was heading on Weds. The sightings seem to be Tues 3rd, Hampstead Lane, then York Way / Junction of Camden Rd on Weds 4th, but he was seen at Emirates Stadium / Sobell Centre N7 Thurs 5th [am] and later at Waterlow Park N6 / Swaines La / Highgate Cemetary. Someone reported howling heard from the cemetary the night before. Lots of posters there now so hopefully people aware if they see him. Posters at Highgate Wood. Local "doggy" pubs, The Flask, The Spaniards Inn, The Old Bull and Bush are on the alert. He's been skittish and has been seen running very very fast so we need a calm approach if anyone does see him. I'm loaded with fresh cooked chicken and doggy bix. I take a lead but think I would call owner before approaching as long as he was calm and still - she is close by this weekend and searching / waiting for news. I know we can find him, there are enough people that know about his disappearanc on internet but good to reach tjose who do not use internet by use of posters and stopping to ask people if they have seen him. Anyone nearby please please help! Just to add, someone on twitter is making a map to show his movements over the past week. It may help us narrow the search area.Last edited: 2015-11-07 10:03:35 by .

Freddie, you can share to DogLost Essex facebook and we can take it from there. Just ensure it is not another organisation's poster as it would be copyrighted. If it is owner's, that is just fine. Thank you.x

Well done Freddie12, thank you for the update. Yes, that would be true, but Wolfy will form a triangle. Where he has been before he will pass that way again. We have a poster on here Freddie12. Click the view poster link. If you have something better, please do email Admin. Thanks. x
.
Admin - there is a poster too, can I email it to you please? I'm sharing it on fbook and twitter but just to make sure anyone on DogLost can access it and share it / print it tooLast edited: 2015-11-06 13:30:33 by .

Message from owner: If you are one of the kind lovely people who wants to help me search for my dog, Wolfy, the very best thing you can do ANYWHERE IN LONDON is just hand out a few flyers in shops or to people passing, or tap a poster on a tree. Dog behavioural experts tell me that if these stray sightings are Wolfy then he will be in flight mode and won't respond to his name, only a large chicken carcass. So all I want is sightings. I thank you from the bottom of my heart
.
owner tweeted, sighting on Hampstead La on Tues 3/11, N6 4RT - dog was skittish and lady unable to catch him - it's right by Hampstead Heath, Kenwood House, The Spaniards Inn. Please circulateLast edited: 2015-11-06 11:25:51 by .

Dogmother, thank you. I didn't know that. Okay he will make a route, a triangle, Martin. So could be well be him in Waterlow! Come on Wolfy.....
.
I've put posters around cemetary / park and local area , also visited near to Sobell Centre / ARsenal Emirates as positive sighting there this morning. Put more posters there. Have not done Parkland Walk yet so don't think posters there but have tweeted and have asked people to print and put up if poss. We will keep looking. am still so full of hope #findwolfy

Martin, read the attachments I sent in the email to you arlier on. Work out a trinagle is you can? Remember they walk a triangle shape, so whilst you were here Wolfy cold have been on another part of his triangle. I would definitely use this sighting place for your feeding station and do a stake out there for a few early mornings. Sit and watch. Remember if you see him, don't worry if he dosn't recognise you immediately. He may have gone into survival mode and will need soem time to process who you are. Its not a poblem. Just give him time. He may know immeidaley but donlt worry if not. He will. Poster that area heavily. Cemetries are a popular place for our lost doggies to hang out in. You are getting closer! x
martin
Thank you all so much we are overwhelmed with the help we are getting. I went to Highgate Cemetery & Waterlow Park calling and whistling and searching. He wasn't there we have walked the parkland walk but please do continue we will be back tomorrow. Alerted Hampstead heath rangers & police as well. visited Battersea today too but not there. the search continues #findwolfy
LoopyLurcher
Have you tried having a bbq in Highgate Cemetary? Might get him to show himself...
.
meanwhile, I have tweeted Friends of Parkland Walk in the hope that someone may share it
.
Thank you Justine - Parkland Walk goes from Finsbury Park to Highgate - N4 to N6 - I am planning on going to look tonight will try and go there too and take posters there is poss
JulieH
Come on wolfie, we need you safe xx
.
owner tweeted just now: Someone heard dog howling at night Waterlow Holly Bush and Highgate Cemetery. Maybe its #wolfy
Justine
It's worth searching Parkland Walk as a dog might roam there and it's local to area lost. Also good place for posters, lots of dog walkers and runners.

.
owner just tweeted "Possible sighting of stray dog could be Wolfy in Waterlow Park by Highgate Cemetary, Swaines Lane exit" This is N6 6PJ - can you alert helpers in the N6 area? I can get there with posters and look out for him but not til around midday today. Please let me know as don't want to duplicate effort, want to be as useful as poss. If we can get there pronto we may find him.

We're still looking for Wolfy, checking the dog wardens everyday, putting it out on social media and searching. Please keep your eye out for our lovely blonde lurcher.
martin
thanks - yes he ran away from borther's house in tufnell park - so far from his west london home.
Unknown
Kimmybear, I thought he had run away from a friend's house, not the owner's?

Edit, yes have checked and he was being dogsat, not at home. 'he's very far from his home. He's a west dog lost in north london'Last edited: 2015-11-03 09:46:58

If Wolfy knows the area and is happy at home, he should have come back by now. So we need to think of everything that could have stopped him from doing so. Read the email I sent and do everything in the attachments. If someone has him we need to make him too hot to handle. Keep going with the posters. Well done! X
martin
thanks so much for pointing out we checked the stolen dogs from Selby - really similar looking but definitely not Wolfy sadly - the search continues.

Several 'blonde' lurchers with Yorkshire police at the moment after an investigation in Selby area. Many stolen, it seems.
