THE BEST NEWS POSSIBLE!!! LARA HAS BEEN FOUND AND REUNITED!!!
Earlier this evening I spoke, via FB, to a lady called Natalie who posted the following status on Lost and Found Animals within Northampton.

** lost dog looks like a staff white with brown patches left with police to try catch at Weston favell**

She went on to explain that the dog had been wandering backwards and forwards on the road but that some fireworks had gone off and the dog had taken cover in some bushes. Natalie had to go but left the police trying to entice the dog out of the bushes. She said that the dog looked very like LARA and, sure enough, IT WAS. The police brought her home and she is now reunited with her owner who is thrilled to have Lara back.

Lara's owner has said "I have my dog back?She is ok.Thank u very much to all of u for helping me to find Her.Massive thank You Natalie Patricia.Thank You All!"

So sad when dogs are left outside shops..Unfortunately some owners are oblivious to dog theft..Really hoping the CCTV comes up with something and Laura is made "Too Hot to Handle" ....Shared on FB. xx

Update: The police are visiting Lara's owner today to take a statement and will be heading to Morrisons to check the CCTV

Morrisons have come back to me and said that they have nothing on their CCTV relating to LARA.
I've contacted Northampton Borough Council to request, under the Freedom of Information Act, access to any CCTV footage that shows Lara being taken away from the store.

Sadly all of this takes time so please keep sharing xx

The police have Lara recorded as a "Lost" dog until such time as they are provided with evidence that she was stolen. I have asked Morrisons to check their CCTV footage and am waiting for a call back. If the footage shows Lara being taken then we will contact the police again to record her disappearance as theft.

Do we know if there is any CCTV footage from Morrisons and whether the police have been informed? Why I ask is Bella the ESS was also stolen Rothwell, Northamptonshire. The CCTV image from Tesco was not very good quality and would be interested if the two crimes are connected.
