Alyson, what a shame this was not Ella. Have asked admin to add to description that Ella has got white on her chest and chin, then at least if a full brindle is found it cannot be mistaken for her. Well done BC as it did look so much like Ella. Jan xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

No. 1050: BUMBLE Bumble needs a rescue space. Staffordshire Bull Terrier, female, approximately 12-18 months old. She is dark brindle and appears to be in good condition. She is very submissive and as soon as you look at her she's on her back with her legs in the air. She seems to be ok with cats and other dogs. A little love! She will be put to sleep on Thursday 22nd November 2007 if she is not claimed and a rescue space is not secured for her or if funds are not available for emergency boarding and unfortunately at this present time we don't have the funding. Hi to Ella's mum - I will try to get in touch with my 'contact' for any further information he may have. The local gypsy liaison officer is Lewis James (01633 232867) who works closely with Sgt. Bernie Dawson (Gwent Police 01633 244999). Lewis James is aware of the group of travellers who were at Duffryn. Apprently they were expecting to travel to Brighton for the weekend but are usually 'resident' in the area of Newport. I spoke to Lewis who is now aware of Ella's situation. Perhaps you can keep in touch with him to find out where/when they return. If I hear anything further I'll be in touch. Hope this helps a little.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi i am Ella's mum and i don't seem to have any messages?? Thanx to JR for the offer of help that would be so much appreciated as i have had no news or sightings of Ella since she went nearly 2 weeks ago. I do know though that they have since moved on from Coronation Park near the Transporter Bridge but not sure where it's not mentioned any thing in the local paper. I also tried to find out who the local gypsy liason officer is but with no luck so far, so any help would be great. thanx again xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Message for Ella's foster mum - through a good friend of mine I became aware of your loss. Through various dog rescues I have befriended (not by choice I have to say) a local traveller who I made contact with yesterday to see if he could help. He told me that the travellers that were in Duffryn have now moved to a site close to the Newport Transporter Bridge. It may be a long shot but a visit (from a distance) perhaps might prove successful. If I can help, please reply. Lets hope Ella is safe and can be returned to you asap.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have told ellas mum to speak to the gypsy liason officer, as there were travellers at the end of there road, when ella went missing, also have given her all the kennel numbers for her area and surrounding areas, also advised to put out as many posters as possible, make this little girl to hot to handle. Message from ellas foster mum/ Hi i am Ella foster mum, i am fostering her for Hope rescue. I have not got any message on my machine that i know of so not sure if it was me you rang or the rescue? She went missing from my garden on sunday between 4 an 6. A peice of my panneling on my fence had come loose or been take off not sure which and was resting up against the rest of the fence, which was how she got out. I thought she was upstairs in her bed after being worn out from playing all afternoon in the garden. It was only when my hubby came home from work and she didn't come to greet him that i went to check and noticed she was gone. I searched the local area on foot straight away and called. No sign then i came home and rang the rspca and the police, then emailed Hope rescue. I then looked again around the whole estate in my car with no sign. Poster's have been put up locally, the dog warden was called on monday morning and neighbours have been informed too. She has been put up as lost on a few dog forums but to no avail. If there is anything i have missed just ask and i will do my best to answer. oh and a poster at my local vets tooLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
