- Run Free Tilly 🌈 My thoughts are with Tilly''s family, I am so sorry for your loss & for the unnecessary added anguish, caused once again... by failure to scan your beloved Tilly 💜
Same story! Why bring in compulsory microchipping, without compulsory scanning? It makes no sense at all...! 😡 - 2015-11-09 13:24 SpringerMad - Area Volunteer, East Sussex
- Very sad to read the update. Run Free Tilly x

- Run free Tilly and rest in peace - another lost to the fireworks by running scared.
Tiga did not go and track Tilly a neighbours dog this morning as promised because Pippa had had had a report of a black dog being hit by a car within 30 minutes of going missing on Thursday evening.
Tilly went missing 5pm Bonfire night, 5.30 a car that failed to stop hit and instantly killed a black dog outside a local pub. Cars behind stopped and moved the body off the road, the landlord of the pub came out and covered the body with a blanket. The police were called and in turn called the 'out of hours team' who came and collected the body. The body was taken to the waste management depot and remains there now. Pippa the owner had contacted the local Kennels and the local council who said they would contact the local dog warden to try and find out where the body was. Pippa has chased up and has just had a call from the waste management centre to confirm that the dog is a Labrador and is wearing a red collar - clearly Tilly. Why has this dog not been scanned - she is microchipped and her collar had a tag on but has since come off. The local community had been out searching all weekend.
A very helpful guy from Veola waste management has now scanned the dog and given Pippa the collar. Last edited: 2015-11-09 15:46:17 by Jenny & Tiga k9tracker - 2015-11-08 09:27 Rose
