Any news?Do you need me to come back? I read somewhere she might have been found but owner cannot get to her...
SueB
when we have been told of sightings and people have tried to approach Misty or catch her she has run !!
so if you see her be careful as she may spook and run again.
Sorry that self and Billybear have had to stop searching this morning but work is calling. Good luck to all who are still out there.
Billybear
We went out this morning with two collies at 7am and met the owners.
We covered the west of the A350 (from where she was last seen back towards her home)
We have given posters out at Newton Farm, Moorcourt Farm over to Mapperton Farm and Drax Estate. We told anyone that we came across about Misty.
We have walked the bridle way from the B3075 back across to the waterworks on the A350 where she was seen. Westley Wood is a lovely quiet, dry spot, ideal cover for a tired, frightened dog. We didn't find her there but it would be a likely spot.
I am now back at work, but I am still in Sturminster Marshall, I do know the area very well, so if there is a sighting I can whizz straight out. I have my boots on, a car right outside the door and am equipped with a lead and more importantly sausages.
My number is 07976 821385.
I also have a stack of posters printed out if anyone can think of anywhere else that needs them.Last edited: 2015-11-10 12:34:27 by Billybear

Met owner and postered and spoke to people at Pamphill and Badbury Rings in case she goes that far. Went across the bridge from Stur to back of Kingston Lacy, Pamphill dairy, along to Badbury, back to Shapwick...no sign.

I feel for you, when I had a dog years ago he ran off also when fireworks were going off, these days its even worse, Ive had weeks of the damn things going off at all hours, I wish they were banned apart from public shows on one day of the year. Anyway rant over, will follow this post and if dog not found by end of week will come down at go for a long walk in the area and look out for the dog.

We hope so too Jenny 4 ..... no sign today :(
We've walked the fields that span uphill to the left of the farm and through the wooded bridle path but no sign I'm afraid. We met up with Emma Mistys owner whilst there.
One of the ladies from the village heard a dog crying and barking at appx 10pm which she said was unusual. I've given her Mistys poster and ask that she phone with any snippets of info she can give that may help trace Misty.
Have seen a few posters out but really more are needed. Though we didn't see many people most of those we spoke to were unaware that Misty is missing

hoping someone has her safe until tomorrow xx

Thank you Jayne.
Still no news of a Misty this morning. Warden services do not operate weekend but news of Misty being missing has been phoned in to out of hours.
The family have been out searching overnight but as yet she has not been found.
Have advised to poster well and check with neighbouring farms and residence in case she had taken refuge in a barn or suchlike.
