Done a little bit of research and a black and white collie dog was seen running along the road in Froxfield 2 days before the possible sighting of Huckle. The lady who said she saw a similar dog as Huckle on the 12th also commented it was very dark. May have been the collie that was seen again. Seems odd that 2 different loose dogs were seen in the village

Any news from possible sighting on the 12th xx

Melanie Rowland There was a similar dog on the road side in froxfield today at about 6pm... It was dark and I was driving but it looked like it was rummaging for food?
I have left a message for owner on her answer machine, tried the mobile number but I get a message saying not registered. Has anyone got the number for this lady's daughter

On "swale-borough-council-stray-dog-service" site there's a male lurcher found 7/11 who looks a lot like Huckle. Swale is an area in Kent.

Just spoke to owner, Huckle has been missing 2 weeks. A similar dog had been seen with someone but this dog was a young dog. Huckle is 6 years old. There is a canal and a railway line which the owner is going to check today. Stay safe Huckle. xx

Shared Huckle to the Marlborough fb groups and the Pewsey fb groups, hoping he will make his own way home, stay safe Huckle.

I copied and pasted both the date and address from the owners email to me so must assume that it is correct.

Can you adjust date lost please & it would be Bloxham Cottage, Great Bedwyn?
Apparently Huckle ran into the forest (Savernake) which surrounds his home, being a Lurcher would probably have chased a deer, the forest is enormous & a Lurcher running at full speed can travel some distance & Unfortunately may not see the dense trees, but hopefully Huckle will work his way back home .
There is a Railway line ( London -Penzance)that goes through Village , also a Canal.
Good luck xLast edited: 2015-11-11 08:22:48 by Reynard
