- Hi all, I have spoken to Trevor Cooper's firm earlier today. I am not very hopeful of anything even after what his firm has said. The law and the British Justice System is a farce! I think the SAS or even the SBS is probably the only way forward!!!

- Kay's record keeping is impressive. I wish I could be equally impressed by the police action.
I could understand how this might be regarded as a civil matter if the monies used for purchase came from a communal pot, but they clearly did not.
Yes,Trevor Cooper might be the avenue to go down next.
But it not unknown for Victim Support to be able to reopen cases that have previously been closed as well.
Just to clarify CJ, the police have refused to issue a CRN? - 2016-10-28 17:55 Skywalker99
- What planet are they on? Has anyone tried complaining to the chief constable? You just know that if Kay managed to liberate Morgan from wherever he is they would probably throw the book at her....I hope she has contact with wheldon law or Trevor cooper.

- Kay has proof of purchase from breeder who has backed it up with a letter saying bought solely by Kay, At time of purchase there was insurance in her name. the chip number is in her name along with a note to say stolen and not to change ownership. The kennel club papers are in her name. She has a bank statement showing the amount withdrawn paid to breeder. YET still the police are saying its a civil dispute which is a cop out for them ( excuse the pun)
- 2016-10-28 14:28 Baydogs
- Was Morgan insured?
If still insured maybe the insurance company would be interested in this case? - 2016-10-28 10:24 Baydogs
- Shouldn't matter surely- If a dog is considered a chattel like a car, then if someone's Ex said the car was his but the partner had a paper trail to prove it was hers then isn't that proof of ownership?
Or would that also be regarded as a civil matter?Last edited: 2016-10-28 14:26:27 by Baydogs - 2016-10-28 10:20 Skywalker99
- I suspect the police won't get involved because it is an issue between former partners....but they should...I really hope Kay gets him back.
- 2016-10-28 10:11 Baydogs
- I don't suppose many people ask for a receipt when purchasing a puppy but if Kay has one (or can prove such by bank or credit card statement) would that be acceptable to prove ownership?
- 2016-10-28 10:01 CJ - Police Liaison & SE Regional Coordinator
- Despite evidence of letters police said he just has to state dog is his and its civil. So the fight goes on and will go to court. WHAT does the law need to prove ownership of a dog- i will find out and fight to change the law!! they wanted dogs chipped so why they did not state it also proves ownership it at same time is beyond me.

- It's almost a year on and I have done my research as follows:
It is believed he is in the Bristol area still on the boat : AMO and locked in at post code: BS1 2 central Bristol or BS15 4JB Bibstone, Bristol. He may have been offered up tobreeder by a lady called Gina Searle may have had him successfully re-chipped, and sold him to you. Please see phot on Facebook following this link: https://m.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=2120830551476333&id=100006482260535&set=a.1385672538325475.1073741825.100006482260535&source=11&refid=17 she is the partner of Mike Scott... also there is information regarding the originator of the photos and his details are on this link: Potography Southampton | Photography by ...

Photography Southampton by Eddie Scott 64a St Denys road Southampton So172fl 07534 852390. Taken from website. I urge anyone with information to put it up here. I just want what is best for Morgan. I believe that is with me. There is not a day goes by when I don't think about him. I found him one day on the canal and Gina Searle refused to hand him over. He is MY dog!!! If my ex has given him to her, she cannot give him a good or happy home, and does not own him! I am his owner! Thanks, Kay Last edited: 2016-10-23 21:18:02 by Kay - 2015-11-27 21:35 Kay
- Just to let everyone know who has read this blog and who is sharing this:
1) I did not buy Morgan for this to happen;
2) I have tried contacting my ex; zero response
3) I have reported him with vets and groomers between Devizes and Bath;
4) this has made me ill and I am on medication because of this;
5) follow this link if nobody believes me that my ex IS a complete liar, I found this from a Google search and was horrified to find he was online dating before we were through, and my dog is plastered all over POF!!! http://www.pof.com/viewprofile.aspx?profile_id=85003703
If you go through the photographs you will see Morgan, I took some of the photographs. He had a perfectly good relationship with me but did not tell me we were through... He assaulted me, that's why the police will not get involved... He has knives and is alcoholic... Do I need to say any more which is why I have not even approached him...
If somebody is protecting him, please don't! He's not worth it! My dog is worth more than £2,500.00 he is a party poodle and is very rare. I am fully aware of what the law says about dogs being chattels etc, but he is being neglected! This is a crime under s4. Of the dog act.... - 2015-11-27 18:04 Kay
- Also skywalker99, if I did go to the courts and that is the only option, how exactly can they serve a summons to somebody who seems to find out every move that's going to happen? When the RSPCA turned up last time, he wasn't there and neither were the dogs... As I have said previously, somebody out there is protecting him!
- 2015-11-27 17:59 Kay
- Thank you skywalker99, the problem there is that he doesn't have an address... Therefore without an address the courts cannot deliver a summons...
- 2015-11-27 14:58 Skywalker99
- Here is another one http://wheldonlaw.co.uk/dog-law-solicitors/ or try www.thepetdetectives.com
- 2015-11-27 14:08 Skywalker99
- You could try Trevor Cooper at www.doglaw.co.uk, there may be other law firms that do animal/dog law but I don't know of them. If the police and RSPCA will do nothing then the courts are probabaly your only option.
- 2015-11-26 21:43 Kay
- It's been horrendous Hollie, RSPCA aren't interested, I tried that route, all they were interested in was his old white German Shepard with bad hips. It is hard, and nobody knows what to do. I honestly think someone out there is protecting him. He said he was leaving the Marina in September, he's still there, so if he's not working then someone is living with him and paying his Mooring Fees as he couldn't afford them before, it's a big wide beam boat, and it's one and a half times the normal mooring fees... But thank you Hollie for your kind thoughts.
- 2015-11-26 20:46 Hollieberry
- Kay I wish I knew what you could do ,in my eyes it is theft and I suppose the dog would have to be in a bad way for the RSPCA to be called .It must be such a worry for you knowing where he is and not being able to see him x
- 2015-11-26 20:40 Kay
- Well, I haven't seen him since August as my ex won't let me. But looking at the state that Morgan is in the photo, it certainly looks like he is... He doesn't even get proper exercise...that much I do know.
- 2015-11-26 20:18 Hollieberry
- I dread to think that this poor dog is being neglected as some kind of revenge .Hope he gets reunited soon .
- 2015-11-26 20:07 Kay
- Seen the photo. Where did you find him? Morgan has a white bib on his chest... The chip company transfer their calls to the US out of hours.

- 2015-11-12 08:24 Kay
- The other point to note is that if my ex has been told about this, he may move Morgan either to somewhere locally or take him to his brothers in Southampton.
- 2015-11-12 07:59 Kay
- Thank you John,
There is definitely no relationship between me and my ex. In fact, a note for the ladies, if you are on POF, he is on there so if you have met him or dated him, you may have met Morgan on his boat! - 2015-11-12 07:17 Administrator
- Assuming there is no longer any legal relationship between the humans, this is straightforward theft and the police can seize and return Morgan and prosecute ex.
- 2015-11-12 07:01 Kay
- Read below:
"Taken by Ex...."
Speak to CJ. I haven't seen my dog since August. I have been very ill through this, I don't need to keep answering your questions, and if anyone out there needs further clarification on this, please contact CJ. - 2015-11-11 22:49 www.doggy-dilemmas.co.uk
- So you know where the dog is then...ie its not lost. Confused. Surely a matter for Police??
- 2015-11-11 21:18 Kay
- The boat is in Caen Hill Marina, it is called AMO. Last edited: 2015-11-11 21:41:57 by Kay

- Poster photo shows the ungroomed state currently in. Photo below shows how he should look.
Taken by ex ad it appears this was witnessed by others. I have seen documentation to prove ownership including the payment from bank the microchip details and registration including kennel name. I will be speaking with Wiltshire police to see if can see this be listed as a crime as it is theft as dog taken without owners permission. - 2015-11-11 17:44
- Sorry to see that MORGAN is missing.
