Karen, I'm so sorry the police action wasn't able to recover Luca for you but don't give up hope that you may still get him back. Fingers and paws crossed that there's a happy ending in store for you and Luca and that he will be well cared for until then. xx

Update from Luca's Mum: We would like to thank DOGLOST for the assistance given regarding the press releases. Further to the press releases in our local newspapers, we had several sightings, we followed every lead and would like to say thankyou to all the members of the public that were so kind to get in touch. Unfortunately none of the sightings led us to Luca. The police got in touch with us last week and advised they had intelligence and a named suspect. The suspect was arrested but released, not enough evidence. We do now have reason to believe that Luca was picked up and has been sold on, he could be anywhere in the country. If this is the case, and someone has paid alot of money for him, we are sure they have done so because they want a puppy to love and care for. We miss Luca terribly and our other dog, Gucci, is still pining for him. We just hope and pray that whoever has got him is loving him like we did.

So sorry Luca is still missing. I'm going to Priory Hills tomorrow so will put some posters in the car just in case and keep an eye out. Hurry home soon gorgeous!

In response to angiem, he disappeared from Duck Lane, we think he got out of our front garden fence, through the slats of the fence. It was the first day we sat in our front garden since we've had him, we usually sit in our back garden which is completely blocked in. We are feeling so guilty about not ensuring there were no gaps he could get through. We used to walk him every morning around by Winhills School and the Henbrook area. We have put flyers through all the houses along the area we took the walk but we have not had any sightings of him at all :-( We also used to walk around Priory Park some evenings, I have postered that area too. Thankyou for keeping your eyes open for him x

I really hope you have some news of Luca very soon - just to show he hasn't been forgotton - which part of St Neots did he disappear from? I walk my dogs in different parts of St Neots daily and am keeping an eye out all the time. Don't give up hope. If you need further help let me know. xx

I have now contacted RSPCA and registered him on their lost dog database. I have re-contacted police / dog warden / Woodgreen / Vets and still no sign of him. We have had lots of support from people in St Neots, lots of people are talking about him and keeping their eyes open but no sightings of him. Trying to keep positive, the Dogs Re-United page gives me hope.

I would like advice regarding RSPCA - do I need to contact them direct? I find their website confusing, no mention of reporting lost/found dogs ?? I have contacted local dog warden, local police station, Woodgreen Animal Shelter & all vets. I have put up posters, posted flyers through letterboxs, and sent an advert to local newspaper. We are all so sad, we miss him so much :-(

Thankyou for your kind messages. In response to Missyblue, Luca is a Malchi (Chihuahua / Maltese Hybrid) He is just so sweet and very cute and we are very upset. I am hoping that someone took him in over the weekend and will make contact with the vets or local police station today, as they were all closed over the weekend.
