Hi just an update I phoned Newtown Police and they havent got a record of any collie being handed in at that time at all, neither has the dog warden for the area. The only dog they had handed in around that time was a terrier and an alsation, that could have been the tricolour. The dog warden had no news of anything similar. I still think that he has been picked up by a passing vehicle linked to the off road centre near us. We have since had all the dogs microchipped to help this being prevented in the future but it would be lovely if Morgan came home, we still expect him to turn up on the door step every morning but as yet no luck.

Any luck with Newtown Police, Richard? I've left a phone message for BC to explain you were offline for a while. She lives not far from me, I will talk to her about this and ask her to help if she can.

hi this is richard here, we have been without the computer for a couple of weeks and have just got it back to find that a dog was handed in locally that might have been morgan, does anyone know anymore than this, we havent been phoned or contacted by anyone so was it a false alarm. we have fly posted the area and it seems like he disappeared off the face of the earth and no one saw him, if anyone can help please leave a message, the computer is fixed now. to all those still looking thanks for all your help and we will try and comtact the police tomorrow to find out more

I have just had a phone call from Newtown Police, they have had a border collie handed in, i dont know anymore than that, i have been unable to get through to them to find out anymore about the dog they have, I telephoned them when Morgan went missing, and they called me and left a message to say it may be morgan?????????

hi Morgan is still missing. Someone tried to leave a message but we couldnt make out the phone number, it was about more details as to how he went missing so here goes. We live on a farm up a no through road and there are only 2 farms after us on the road. We live in a very rural area but we are close to a badly run off road centre which attracts people from all over the UK and occassionally they get lost and come up our road, but we didnt see anyone that day Morgan is allowed to roam free during the day and was noticed to be missing at about 5.30pm as we started feeding the pigs. We knew there was a bitch on heat nearby and so we werent that concerned as he quite likes the ladies. He wasnt home by the following morning though and although we spoke to all the neighbours non had seen him, even those with bitches in season, a neighbour thinks he saw him about 100yds from home on Friday morning but we never saw him and the neighbour wasnt sure whether it was Friday or Thursday. Although he is a working dog he wont work for anyone, only his Dad, but would go to anyone as he is really friendly. He is a very distinctive looking dog and is being greatly missed. We have contacted all the local working dog sales coming up and they are going to keep an eye out for him but there will be nothing they can do only tell us. OUr worry is that he has been picked up by one of the off road people or there are a few tinkers about selling stuff out the back of a van at the moment and they could have him. The worst is not knowing he is safe and his Dad misses him terribly. Hope to have some more positive news soon.

Have sent morgans picture and details to Creature Comforts in Powys in case he turns up there, a lot of the dog wardens use them, got the info from my local dogwarden

Have spoken to newtown police, they have not had him brought in, they have taken morgans details, i again have left the owners contact number, and my number

Have spoken to council, and the dog has not been picked up by dog warden, have left details with them and they will call myself or owner if the dog is picked up. They would not give details of the kennels that take the strays, so the owner should check with the council every day to see if hes been picked up. Will ring Newtown police because they cover the area he went missing from.
