- Wonderful news! Ted has been found. I have just seen a lovely pic of him in his owners arms on Facebook. Will leave for owner to update. A big thank you to all of the fantastic residents of Chandlers Ford who really went out of their way to help find him. Welcome home Ted, I bet you and your mum will sleep well tonight xxLast edited: 2015-11-17 16:56:48 by Ravenette - Area Co-ordinator - West Sussex

- Hi. Just spoken to the owner on 07850 877 350 & advised her the following:
Fudge (21 month old female chocolate lab) & I bumped into Ted this morning at 11am, Tues 17th Nov 2015, in Ram Alley Woods.
Exact location:
We came from Hursley Road, walked over the railway line bridge where we bumped into a police officer, who showed us a colour photo on his mobile phone of lost Ted. We then took a left up the very muddy wooden steps and down them, immediately after these wooden steps, we took a left jumping over 3 fallen down trees (off and away from the main path which will lead you to the stream). Followed the path round to the right, near to where you have to duck quite a low fallen branch but before having to jump 1 slim fallen down tree, in a clearing to our right where there's evidence of a fire and logs for seating, Ted was spotted. Managed to clearly see his collar and confirmed this with the owner: Blue, navy but with white/grey lighter contrasting dots/stars.
Fudge spotted him first and brought him to my attention, we both got down low, tried not to stare him out and offered treats but he ran away, I sped walked quietly to his direction but strangely Fudge, who is a very nervous and shy big puppy, uncharacteristically run away from me back to where we came from, I didn't give chase with her but kept walking towards where Ted was, thinking Fudge might make him run towards me and the direction of the main path and stream. But nothing and Fudge soon ran back, I put her onto the lead and we sat on the logs by the fire remains for a good 5mins before continuing on with our walk, to the left, further away from the main path leading to the stream, if you're looking towards the stream and railway line behind. Continued until you hit a dead end of fencing and your forced to loop back round along the railway line to your right, back to the wooden muddy steps by the railway bridge.
This is where we then bumped into 3 female dog walkers, who advised they all knew about lost Ted. One lady went back over the railway line bridge, another up and down the same wooden muddy steps with her dog that we initially took and I thought I would do another loop with Fudge. So walked down the middle, a fairly steep, narrow, muddy slope with a pregnant lady and her two back labs. We split-up after coming down the slope, Fudge and I went left. Did the same initial route, where you have to jump the 3 fallen trees and walk away from the main path leading to the stream, but sadly didn't spot Ted again but have left treats and will go back to the exact same spot tomorrow between 10-11:30am.
Fingers crossed!! - 2015-11-16 07:23 Unknown
- Lots of smelly treats.....if you see him no eye contact, get on the ground and gently offer food , do not make a grab for him whatever you, do seems he has a path he is walking........if he leaves see if you can follow from a safe distance , dont run after him he may go into a road .Come on Ted time to go home xxx

- Loads of people are out around Ramalley, Knightwood, chandlers ford train station and bournemouth road. we have been told to not call his name, be gentle and quiet and bring lots of food. please call on 07850877350 for any further sightings or info.
Ted was spotted this morning nr train station and again around ram alley woods, so he is looping around the area where he went missing - 2015-11-15 13:03 Poochpal - Regional Co-ordinator - South West - Police Liaison Team
- If that is the best way to contact you AnnaB then I can understand that as you will be receiving a notification of the post but can you then transfer the information to this page please, as Sammie says, we have a lot of helpers who will have been sent the email alerts but don't use Facebook. The need to have sightings as soon as possible is so important so for helpers who do not use Facebook can they text the numbers to let you know.

- Anna that is not how doglost works, there are many members that are not on doglost that rely on updates being put on here so they can help.
Whilst doglost has FB pages it is the main site that is relied on to produce the posters and updated sightings.

- As Di say's the messaging system with animalsearchuk is really bad, it would be better to call them quoting the reference no. Good luck Anna...fingers crossed x

- Anna - I only know what is on the listing in the link - I'm in Essex. I haven't had a reply to the message I sent, but you have to use their messaging system (which is really poor).

- Ted's owner is doing all the right things to find him and as of this morning there had been no sightings. I will ask for an update this evening if I haven't heard from owner. Hoping this lovely boy is found soon xx
- 2015-11-13 15:06 Sammie
- If there were sightings can you update where they were?
I have looked on the Chandlers ford vets page and on Anderson moores vet page but no updates there either. If more advice is required as to catching him will you ask Ravenette? or post here and we (the southwest team) can advise you? Don't want to bombbard you with info. You could also post on the Doglost Hampshire FB page if you need extra advise:
