- Still no confirmed or regular sightings - possible sighting in Plains but likely to be a known latchkey dog that is very similar and several unconfirmed sightings in Stepps area. Also checking original lost site. Key is to keep her picture out there as if she is mobile its teh only way to close in on her.
The Sun have published her story ... from an alternative angle!

- Organised search today at 1pm at the landfill gates (ML5 2EQ). There will also be press attendance. We need as many people there as possible. There still haven't been any sightings of Saffy and we need to do a grid search in case she is injured. THIS IS NOW URGENT.

- There have been some mines found very close to where Saffy went missing so these are priority at present. Search will continue tomorrow. If anyone knows a local mining group that could help with the search of the mine shafts please get in touch.

- Sapphire is still missing, there have been no sightings whatsoever. The press are being contacted today in case someone has picked her up in all innocence. Police, kennels and all the normal are being contacted as well. Fences etc being extensively searched today in case she has been caught up and postering and leaflets through any local doors also happening today. The rescue that Sapphire came from when she had her awful burns are helping with PR and the press release. Everyone wants Saffy back with her Mum ASAP.

Area she should be within is hashed - searched by foot several times. Went missing at the red dot. Home is blue dot and walk path is light blue. Area searched by car and verbally boundaried by yellow. Area is mainly scrubland/wasteland and boundaried by fields which are mainly empty bar some with horses. One distant field with sheep. Hashed area bordered by 3 trainlines - southern line well fenced, righthand side no trains on a sunday, top minimal trains and raised line. - 2016-01-17 18:22 Bunter
