- Thanks for the update JT!
I think we did the right thing taking them in. They had been there on their own for about 45 mins by all accounts, right beside a busy road. They looked so lost and anxious and the little brown mite was howling for it's owners. No-one on the common had seen anyone looking for them so we had to assume they were lost.
Shows the importance of keeping a tag on a dog's collar as we could have contacted the owners immediately if we had had their details.
Really good to see how many people were involved and concerned up there today, who helped to make sure the dogs were caught and kept safe :) Hope the owners know we were just looking out for their dogs by taking them to the vets.
Also really good to meet you,the chicken dd the trick I think. Wishing you and your little one all the best :)

- Hi NB, not sure how to do a PM on here as new to site. I'm the person with the stretchy lead :).
Shared the post on FB and someone else shared it in a Stroud based group, the dogs were recognised and the owner tagged /contacted. Apparently they had run back early to the car park! Poor little ones they were looking so worried and without collars there is no oopportunity to make a quick phone call to check they were where they should be. - 2015-11-22 18:48 NB
- Hurrah! That's fantastic news!!
Really glad they are back home and not worried little lost things any more :)
JT, is it possible to PM me with any more info? (no worries if not)xxx

- Poor things..surely people realise that their dogs are not in the car, when they drive off!!! Lets hope that chip details are up to date!!

- Just checked Spike's listing and this dog did look very similar (muted black dots on body) However the white dog pictured here has only one coloured ear (his/her right ear) and it looks as though Spike's left ear is coloured too.
The vet scanned them and they are both microchipped (I don't have the details) so hopefully they will get reunited. They are very sweet and appear very well looked after so I really hope they get back home again where they belong... - 2015-11-22 13:59 skyninchar
