Any updates on gorgeous Timmy? xx

I've just had a chat to Mole Valley dog warden re this, as I was surprised that someone had told the owner that dog wardens only had to keep info for 6 months. MV actually have records going back to 1992! Evidently by law a local authority has to keep register of found/stray dogs taken into their kennels. This register is free to view by the public on request. I think you need to contact Sutton Council Sarath and ask to see the log.Last edited: 2015-11-26 16:09:50 by csquaredb

Crossposting from Doglost Surrey, where one of the group has been in contact with the owner again: Owner called me earlier and provided an update. The microchip company got back to him and transpires that Timmy was last logged with London Wild Life Center in Croydon in October last year. Difficult to understand but transpires he was picked up as missing twice more. most recent owners collected from London Wild Life Center but took no details (they had photos) all a bit messy but he's clearly heart broken. I've advised he contact Dogost HQ for advise.

Have gone through all dogs found in South East for a month or so after he was lost, but can't see a match. Also checked against any dog found in SM postcode, but no joy I'm afraid :(

Crossposting from Doglost Surrey. One of our group has contacted the owner and this is the info we have:
Timmy has been missing for a year now. The owner rescued him from a family who were mistreating the dog, had him seen by the vet and chipped, clearly loved the dog. He then went away and his girlfriend was left to look after the dog, it was her who lost him. The owner is now back and is desperate to find out what happened to Timmy. He's tried all dog wardens (they only keep records for 6 months) and also checked with the microchip company. Not sure what else he can do??? Very sad story : (

Yes, echoing the call for more info please. Is the lost date of 14th correct? If so, I doubt there he will still be frequent the High Street after 11 days - have all local vets, dog wardens, Battersea etc all been contacted?

Sorry to see that TIMMY is missing.
  • If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
  • Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
  • A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (95130)
  • Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
  • You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
  • Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
  • If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
  • If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
  • Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
  • DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
