- Hi We have a sighting of a bird of prey (although thought to be a harris hawk) resting in a tree, with "rings/tassles" in Redditch. Please see "Spotted:Redditch" page on facebook. This was a couple of days ago 7th-8th Jan 2016. https://www.facebook.com/spottedredditchnew/photos/pb.714405321960349.-2207520000.1452337704./981311815269697/?type=3&theaterLast edited: 2016-01-09 11:11:19 by Polly

- I was reading about these tyhpe of birds a few weeks ago. I believe they have very good eyesight, and can fly within a radius of about 8 to ten miles, As he is domesticated, perhaps will find it difficult find food, but will perhaps find a garden with fruit trees? It also says that they recognize their owners/trainers voices, and recommdended to leave a recording of the owners/trainers voice, and place in the garden. Presume you have contacted Bird Rescue Centres?Last edited: 2015-11-28 14:36:18

- If he is lost, how far is he likely to travel independently? Should searchers take account of things like wind direction etc?
Lovely boy hope he is home soon. - 2015-11-26 17:04 LoopyLurcher
- Hope he's found safe & soon. I gather from the Hawk book goshawks are more independant than some so hopefully he'll find food in the meantime.
