- So very glad to read that Dolly is in the blue, safe and sound and back where she belongs ... miracles do happen with the help of all the folk who have been involved in reuniting her, and of course Santa who has co-ordinated the search and rescue for Dolly! Stay safe now, beautiful Dolly, and have a Happy Christmas all of you!

Santa grants little girl's wish to find Dolly, her missing blind dog
A HEARTBROKEN schoolgirl who wrote a touching letter to Santa asking him to bring her beloved dog home has been reunited with her blind pooch.

Little Isla Kerr, seven, penned the note after telling her mum "Santa can do anything" when three-year-old Dolly the Boston terrier disappeared.
Dolly, who is blind and requires daily medication, was last seen on Wednesday evening when she was tied up for just minutes outside a shop close to their home in Sowerby Bridge, West Yorks.
Devastated Isla put pen to paper to appeal for help - and her prayers were answered on Monday evening when mum Vanessa Meskimmon, 32, received a call from a man who had spotted Dolly alone at the local park.
Careworker Vanessa stayed on the phone while she directed the man - who had seen the appeal to locate Dolly - to their home where dad, Darren Kerr, 33, went to the car and confirmed that, yes, it was Dolly.
Isla was absolutely delighted, and so was Dolly. Dolly was so excited
Ecstatic Isla rushed to Dolly and cuddled her close.
Vanessa said: "Isla was with her friend next door, making posters for her appeal, when her daddy went round and said: 'Someone wants to see you.'
"Isla was absolutely delighted, and so was Dolly. Dolly was so excited, she was wriggling and jumping up and licking our faces, she was so happy.
CCTV from outside the shop where Dolly was tied
"Isla didn't get much sleep last night, she was so excited to have Dolly back. She wouldn't let her go.
"Dolly can't see us but she knows who we are, she knows she's home and it's so lovely. She is part of our family. We can't stop cuddling her, we're so pleased to have her back.
"Isla thinks that Santa has helped her out, but she also knows that she has played a big part in that.
"She has now reverted back to her original list, which included a Barbie house, some Heelies roller shoes and a Reborn newborn doll.
"As far as we can tell Dolly hasn't been mistreated. I will be getting her checked out by a vet."
Dolly is definitely glad to be home with her family of Vanessa, Darren, Isla and big sister, Courteney Kerr-Meskimmon, 17, and is now her usual happy hyper self.
Isla's handwritten note read: "Dear Santa, All I want for Christmas is my dog to come back.
"I do not care about presents, all I care about is my dog Dolly to come back.
"I miss her so much and love her.
"Love Isla Kerr xxxx."
Dolly was taken on Wednesday evening when she was left tied up for a matter of minutes outside a shop close to their home in Sowerby Bridge, West Yorks.
Isla and bricklayer dad Darren Kerr, 33, had popped in to buy ice cream but when they returned, she had vanished.
The family searched frantically for their beloved pet.
Vanessa, 32, said: "We've had Dolly since she was nine weeks old and she and Isla are like best friends, they're inseparable.
"She's so upset that someone has her, and none of us are sleeping.
"She came up with the idea of writing to Santa because as she told me, & - 2015-12-08 09:27 Rose

- CROSS POSTED from her fb group:
I received a phone call at work from a man who had found dolly, he said he was on albert road and he was certain it was her, I directed him to my house where Darren was and he went out to the car and it was her! She is absolutely fine but I will be having her checked out asap. The man who brought her back didn't match the cctv footage he said his girlfriend had found her as a neighbour had seen her on the park and thought it was theirs as they have a french bulldog. He said they found her in bradford. He didn't want a reward. We are just so pleased to have her back, I still can't believe it. Thank You so much to everybody who has liked, shared, commented, messaged us, put posters up etc I can't believe how much kindness we have had from complete strangers and of course our friends and family, we couldn't have done it without you xxx - 2015-12-07 21:19 Majorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
