- Angela, not sure if you saw the posts about police recovering 49 dogs from a traveller site in Orpington recently? There is no list of dogs seized unfortunately and only photos of a few, but police are trying to find their rightful owners? Might be worth making contact via telephone 101 and quote operation Medusa. Or via twitter MetCC. Joanx

- Angela, check out 95869 looks like it could be one of your dogs. X I would put money on it this is your dog. E3 is just down M11 and I to East London and Victoria park would have been an easy place to dump a stolen dog. Please check this one out. XLast edited: 2015-12-14 10:53:29 by Doglover

- We need CRN to discuss this with the police who work with us. It is easier to track cases with their numbers. As Shelagh said, if you don't want it on the page please email it in for my attention. Also can you give me details of the attending officer/s. And, please confirm if you do have one dog back now. Many thanks.
- 2015-12-11 19:04 Shelagh
- Email admin@doglost.co.UK. They will advise who to give info too. You are quite right that info does not go onto page.
- 2015-12-11 08:02 Angela
- Kimmybear, are you asking me if we have reported the incident to the police and have a crime number? If so. I can confirm that this is the case, however I'm a little wary of publicly posting the crime number. Is this normal practice? Is there a PM system that I can use to provide you with the number?

- Angela, have you added your precious dogs onto the lost Lurchers missing and found website Nd also looked at Lurchers for sale.
Also, Lurchers are used for field sports and hunting and these low life scumbags that stole your dogs, could have taken them for this reason. All areas in the UK need to be tweeted and also try and contact any organisations, mind you these people won,t belong to organisations, but the animal welfare organisation and police that cover these stories. I have seen documentaries on the TV where these sort of people are caught . I know Peterborough area was one of them. I do not do Facebook or Tweeting, but if you know anyone that does, this would help. Try and get Police to put out alerts in all areas where this activity takes plCe. - These two dogs were stolen yards from where Mearl 95628 was dumped. Mearl has now been found and owner will be collecting shortly. It was through her pasting on Facebook and speaking to the TRAVELLING community telling them police were involved that Mearl was dumped. We now need to share as much as we can for these two Lurchers. X

- Also have you had any workmen or builders on your property in last couple of months who knew that dogs were there and were outside in kennels. Did kennels have a lock on it, was it broken..
- 2015-12-08 10:14 Unknown
- Could these and the other jrt stolen in CM8 be related
- 2015-12-08 08:54 Doglover
- Do lots of posters. Report to Police and get Crime reference number. Do Facebook page and make them TOO HOT TO HANDLE. Check all Travellers sites near you... you never know. Add to Millenium Vets in Braintree Lost and found page. I will keep a look out even though Thaxted quite a distance from me. x

- Sorry to see that STOLEN WITH ANOTHER FEMALE LURCHER is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (95641)
- Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
- You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
- If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
- If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
- Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
- DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
