Thank-you for everyone's help and kind words. Smokey was rather special. She always looked after the more vunerable members of her gang in her younger days. I used to call her a super hero because she would only show her strength of character against dogs that tried to bully pups or oldies. Shedeserved a better end than this although she did have a wonderful life.still love you Smokes always will xxx

I am so sad to report little Smokey has gone to rainbow bridge ...we think this was only just after the sighting on the evening she went missing...Probable RTA Rest easy beautiful girl...your babies live on in your honour xxx

Please everyone keep looking. Information learnt Monday suggests she went north of home and we have been concentrating all our efforts to the south in the woods. Planning another full day searching tomorrow. Just read about an oldie in Cornwall that was away from home 2 weeks and came home thin but OK. I think it will be the best day of my life if we find herand shes ok.

So close to home but probably off her own usual paths. Might be worth a house to house on both sides along between Uxmore corner and Church in case she has crept into a garden along there and become trapped. Not sure if any of those gardens still have ponds.

Unfortunately we now think dog seen beside parked horsebox was a different dog not Smokey. So last sighting would now be running across Stoke Rowvillage main rd from crest estates the steam engine guys on the wed night. Lady stopped car but then lost sight of Smokey in the dark. I found this out today.

Sounds hopeful. have the Rising Sun, Crooked Billet ,Cherry Tree and Van alloys estate been postered? Someone travelling to those might see her.

we had 2 possible sightings this morning approx 11am around the Stoke Row hill area (which is the main road running up into stoke row through the woods from highmoor) the sighted dog was seen running up the hill on the main road...then another sniffing around at the top of the hill just inside the woods..we have been out looking,i'm just back but owners still out .so it is possible she is in the forestry commission area trying to find her way back.

She hasn't,fallen down a hole or anything like that has she in the woods.? I am too far Way to physically help, but make sure lots of posters around outside woods in streets etc.

I have told the equestrian centre the pubs the shop the garage. I have a ladytelling school on mon. If she was anywhere in the yard we would hear her, she howls if unhappy. I have more posters to put up. Many thanks to whoever put posters up before. I have an awful feeling sheshe'sbeen pickedup by someone and they are not trying to find us. She is too old for breeding or fighting. Please let her come home.

Have checked sides of Basset Wood Lane and daily in the top bit of wood. What about posters at Black Horse, Checkendon Equestrian, SR and checkendon primary schools?
Any chance that she actually did continue on home and either went into an odd place in the yard, or on up School Lane to the churchyard?
Another thought: have the bin men been asked? She went missing on bin lorry day and they have recently been down quite late in the day.
A lot of people walk into the wood from Whitehall Lane, is there a poster up there?

We have been in the woods school lane to judges bridleways and up the hill beyond. So maybe a search further afield is required. Horse riders would be especially useful as they can see from up higher. Please come home Smokey

Smokey was last seen on the footpath between the 2 horse fields yesterday (Wednesday). From that point she would usually go home.
Did not see her along that path or in the first bit of woodland this morning. Have shared with other local dog walkers.
