Thanks for the update Bo, some just don't want to race, others do and you can't make any dog do what they don't want to do. Happy retirement Gina.
Bo
The lady (Jo) who caught her (as seen in photo) hadn't met Gina before she found/caught her - she spent every day looking for her after she escaped, with her own hounds. Jo runs her own rescue as well "greyhound rescue South Yorkshire"
Gina is not going to go back to racing - she will be cared for, spayed and rehomed when she's ready. Last edited: 2015-12-21 22:19:39 by Bo

BUBBLES
She has been seen again near a road at the very least she has managed to get her muzzle off. Hoping today someone can get hold of this poor frightened dog. Stay safe girl xxLast edited: 2015-12-17 14:56:03 by BUBBLES

The manager at stadium has said traps are being set up to catch Gina. I hope the traps are large enough for a greyhound and based on her reluctance to go in racing trap she may be very wary of them.

DogLostMe N My Girl - Administrative Volunteer
Her pet name is GINA as per "lost and found dogs Sheffield"
Lilybear
Yes, they sure do Me n my girl. Good luck all, keep safe girl.
DogLostMe N My Girl - Administrative Volunteer
They need to take note of the times she is sighted, greyhounds usually move around late evenings and early morninings, stay safe little girl. She may be drawn out by other greyhounds being walked as they tend to prefer their own kind. Hope she is found today.
Minigirl - Area Co-ordinator, West Yorkshire
The search co ordinators have been in touch this evening.
Bumping her page for further sightings.
Advice given
JulieH
Would Radio Sheffield be able to help ? hope she is found asap x
Bo
Someone apparently got quite close to her today - the muzzle is now round her neck - she's terrified.

Tx we now have a direct number for a local lady who will make contact with the sighter and will go out to look...as far as we can ascertain the muzzle is no longer on the dog...With permission from local helper will add her phone number for anymore sightings.

A phone call with another sighting...this evening...if anyone has a direct contact number for the people looking for this dog....could they call HQ 0844 800 3220....so we can pass on to the person that sighted the dog...About 1/2 mile away from Shirecliffe woods heading towards Herries road....and anyone else that calls in....And of course put on the dogs details so people can ring directly.
