Jayne sent a reply back to my email to admin.

What Cjay is referring to is the fb group share post I created December 2018 and keep updated and add DogLost posters for MISSING/STOLEN dogs I am helping owners with. I’d added LEO to the group post and bumped it up on fb. It was BONNIE’s details that Cjay seen, commented on the share post and took the time to register on DogLost and also post an alert here. This is how it works everyone sharing and looking out cross matching etc. Amazing result with BONNIE being missing so long. This really does give hope to others still searching for their missing pets.

Cjay has been in direct touch with Jenny which is lovely.

Friendships are formed over the years and great when all come together.
DogLostJayne - Founder Doglost.
Thanks Cjay...Um which ad please? not that savvy on SM...can you send to admin@doglost.co.uk under subject Bonnie? Thankyou!
Cjay
Its all down to your dedication at doglost, i think your all doing an amazing job and without your missing adverts trying to find these dogs then people would have no chance of being reunited. I acted on the information you gave me in that ad so the hard work your all putting in does really pay off and give people hope. Your site is giving people the will to never give up xxxLast edited: 2019-07-25 01:23:21 by Cjay

Cjay thanks again for posting a comment again on here and also the group fb share post. We are practically neighbours. Will send you a msg tomorrow evening to make contact with you. Jenny is over the moon. Lovely to see the pics of Bonnie and Jenny’s current dog meeting each other this evening when Jenny took them for a walk. No doubt one of many now,

jennyball86
ive sobbed laughted and hugged the lady and bonnie/maggie all day i have closure now and am so happy she asked me to be apart of there life even tho she was worried i would take maggie away but am not like that. i have offered to help walk maggie and her other dog ruby which she kindly agreed and was very happy that i want to help. i can see they also have a very special bond and although bonnie is a lot old than i last seen her she still has the same character and love she had the day she went missing. me and sandra will have a great friendship from now on am so greatful she has looked after and doted on bonnie for all these years xx
Twizzle
What a wonderful result, you 2 'owners' will surely be friends for life, to share bonnie/Maggie is a brilliant end, to have taken her away from the person who had, cared for and loves her would have been awful for this girl. So full credit to you both. Good luck all of you for a happy life with both if you sharing this lucky girl.
menaviana
wow what brilliant and wonderful news

Well this is one long awaited REUNITE have looked forward to doing and also add a REUNITED PHOTO.

Update from last post:

Jenny went to the house last night to where it was reported Bonnie was and spoke to the lady in the property. Jenny said she was looking for her missing dog but not the long term details of Bonnie. Myself and Jenny had a discussion afterwards of the way forward especially with the timescale etc.

Jenny returned today and explained fully of the situation and seen Bonnie who responded to a song Jenny used to sing to her which was lovely for Jenny who has never given up. Below is the update from Jenny. It is amazing Jenny now has closure and can see Bonnie and help with walking her. WELL DONE Jenny, Cjay for making that most important call and everyone who helped in the search and sharing the missing posts. AMAZING ENDING.

Jenny’s CROSS POSTED UPDATE::

after 9 years of always looking for bonnie ive found her she has been getting looked after by a lovely lady over the road from me. didnt want to just take bonnie away from her because that was cause a lot of heartache for the lady we have agreed to share her and ive agreed to help out and walk her dogs as she can no longer walk that well, her name is now maggie and she still remembers me so say am overwhelmed is an understatement ive laughed cried and hugged both maggie and sandra for the past hour just cant believe ive found my girl just shows never give up xx

Some don't even bother checking the chip
How does an owner of a lost dog not know it isn't their dog
They claimed the wrong dog
I would know my dog
jack
This is shocking, I hope these dog wardens are held accountable for their wrongful actions.
NickyB
i shall write to liverpool ceo of the council with this poster and ask the ceo to investigate what happened in the dog wardens office that led to her being given to the person who claimed her - who apparently was not her owner. i will let you know response

Yes Jenny has reported her as missing with the Chip Co.

Time to get local Liverpool MPs involved now? This is a very distressing case, and there is a significant point of principle at stake here. (No use expecting Mayor Anderson to sort out his own employees, I fear.)

I have contacted VetsGetScanning briefly earlier today and will make contact a.s.a.p. to bring up to date.

Jenny has already been in touch with Nik at DogLaw some weeks ago.

Things have been going on behind the scenes and this is classed as a Civil dispute. :(

Whoever has BONNIE is aware that she has an owner looking for her and she was originally a MISSING dog.
DogLostVetsGetScanning
Contact Doglaw. The Dog Wardens are obliged to tell you who claimed Bonnie. There are a couple of ways where we can provide telephone advice:-

Dog law: We offer a telephone advice service on 0906 515 1108. The advice is provided by Trevor Cooper (Solicitor) or Nik Starmer-Smith (Caseworker). This is a premium rate line and calls costs £1.55 per minute plus your telephone access charge. The line is generally available during normal office hours Monday to Friday.

Well done Jenny. The best way to get things done is to get as many people behind you and your cause as you can and this is what you're doing. Stay behind it too by following things up, and do keep us updated on your progress. All the very best of luck!

Quick up date:

All relevant emails have been sent to everyone that I have been advised to send to along with pictures. Would also like to mention how helpful Vets4Pets have been with my situation and it was them who actually rang my works phone but couldn't get hold of me, their only option was to ring OUT OF HOURS WARDENS.

Thank you everyone for commenting and helping me the best possible way to get Bonnie home really appreciate all the help.
jennyball86
Hi nick I have contacted the head of our government I will be sending more emails today complaining on how out of hours dog wardens didn't do there jobs properly
NickyB
good luck appealing to new owner BUT FAULT LIES WITH YET ANOTHER INCOMPETENT GOVERNMENT DEPT THE LOCAL COUNCIL. contact the head of your local council and demand they investigate the dog wardens completely wrong actions. also I would write to environment minister and ask them to also investigste the councils action. getting the media attention is great too. somebody in the dog wardens office needs to explain why they have not done their job properly. the more people you contact in authority would help. it takes a lot of time and hardwork to get justice and get a major mistake put right. its hard work. hopefully you get friend/s to help. time and time and time again the police, the nhs, the church get things very wrong. I do hope you do succeed. if I can help leave a mssg here.
jennyball86
Will do thank you for your help
Ellie
That's a good start Jenny but I would still give The Sun a go too as Sun readers tend to be animal lovers and don't seem to like injustices! Anything is worth a try and I do so wish you all the luck in the world!
jennyball86
Hi ellie I've email the echo and also sent email to out of hours wardens asking to pass a letter on to who ever have bonnie I've also emailed Joe Anderson liverpool mp x
Ellie
Yes Jenny I would most certainly try the papers. I would start with the Sun and then go from there! Include your letter as well to show that you are genuine and enclose the Doglost posters too. ASAP!Last edited: 2016-01-29 20:53:14 by Ellie
jennyball86
Please could you print and send this letter to who have bonnie in their care.

To whom has bonnie my name is jenny,

Please am writing this letter as a broken hearted woman who lost bonnie 5 years ago but I've never given up on looking for her, it will be 6 years this Christmas,  bonnie was being looked after by my nan as I was working that day and also in the middle of a house move. i got bonnie  when she was a very small puppy from dogs trust, my first ever dog who I treated not only my dog but also my little girl bonnie came every were with me she was never away from my side, to get that horrible phone call from my dad that someone had left the gate open of my nans communal garden and bonnie was no were to be seen, words couldn't describe how my heart broke I had just lost my little girl. I left work immediately and searched high and low for her until early hours of the morning reported her missing to police, dog lost pet log and put posters every were if that doesn't tell you how much bonnie means to me then I don't think u will ever understand. I seen bonnie on social media (facebook) on October the 10th 2015 as a found dog and the joy in my face to see her again even though it was a picture I was sobbing with joy the though of getting bonnie home. After ringing everyone I possibly could to find out were bonnie was my last hope was out of hours dog wardens who confirmed they had bonnie I went through all the details they confirmed me as bonnie's owner and still gave her away to you, can you imagine the pain I went through all over again just when I thought I would have bonnie home I was told she was gone again it was like the knife that got stuck in me 5 years ago got pulled out and stuck right back in my heart this letter may seem silly to you but am begging of you please let me have bonnie back. I understand that you have loved her all these years too but this is my pup and I miss her so much I wouldn't like to see anyone go through what I have been going through all these years always looking out for her every were I go and I've never stopped hoping that I will get her home were she belongs.

Please if you have a heart you will get in touch with me

Am going to send this is hope it helps
jennyball86
I will I didn't think of that neither will do that too that you they out of hours did contact them asking if there willing to give her back but he or she said no
Julie Dogs
Heartbreaking! Like losing her all over again. What about writing a heartfelt letter to her new owners & asking the warden to give it to them? He must have a record of who took her and she must missing you too. Also contact the media and your MP & Vet. I do hope you succeed in getting her home x
jennyball86
Ellie I didn't think of going to the papers about it do you think they would help
Ellie
If this was my baby I would create havoc in every newspaper that I could. Not only local but national too! Surely something would have to be done about this, especially if it gained public support. Certainly well worth a try!
jennyball86
Thank you everyone for your comments am so up set over this I was very excited at the thought of getting bonnie home after 5 long year always looking for bonnie were ever I go then just to be crushed as they gave her away xx
Rose
As they are making it law in April for all dogs to be chipped think there ought to be a registration document that is filled in with name address etc just like a log for cars. Someone recently took civil action in court to get their dog back and they lost!! So it seems that although you have the chip details it doesnt necessarily mean its your dog and you are entitled to get it back.Sorry do not want to dampen anyones spirit but it was in a paper but these may be different circumstances. xx
Heth
Hear Hear, law needs changing.
susieq666
This is all very sad. What a toothless law! Doesn't dog warden know who he gave her to? Fact is, she's Jenny's dog, and she can prove it. There are more checks done on ownerships of cars than dogs, and if you 'buy' a stolen car, it doesn't make it yours.
Rose
What is the point of having a law that a dog has to be chipped if nobody checks. The law needs changing fast. x
Seeks
Chips are so often not scanned or checked correctly...I really hope they can get this baby home. Jan share it to Pup's timeline and will post it over when you have the post xx

News up date:

I have sought legal action and following procedures that a Solicitor is advising me on.

I won't give up on bonnie as I miss her so much.

I have sent email to out of hours dog wardens requesting entry of register of a stray dog as it's them who gave her to wrong person even though am her registered owner and always have been. Will post more info when I have it.
DogLostMajorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
I am still in touch with Jenny (owner) who is seeking Legal Advice. Even though the Chip details had not recently been updated due to marriage name and address the name on the Chip would not have matched the person who has claimed BONNIE.
DogLostMajorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
I am in regular touch with Jenny and things are still being followed up.

I've also updated the poster and uploaded new photo/s late last night (you may need to refresh the page to view them).

If anyone has BONNIE or knows where she is can you please get in touch with Jenny her owner a.s.a.p.
jennyball86
janiejewel1649 yeah it's theft by finding
jennyball86
Thank you for everyone's comment and yes out of hours dog wardens really have messed this up.
DogLostOwl
Glad you are advising Jenny. Very difficult situation.
DogLostMajorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
Have had a long chat with JENNY (owner) tonight and given advice on things to do.

BONNIE has NEVER been reported as FOUND to the Dog Warden who do have details from JENNY of BONNIE MISSING back in 2010. BONNIE was originally from the Dogs Trust.

BONNIE was recently FOUND in October 2015 and posted on Social Media, which is where JENNY seen the details. JENNY had recently changed phone number and address so when BONNIE was scanned in the Vets/Wardens she was not contactable.

BONNIE may have been with the people who have recently claimed her all the years she was MISSING and not reported her as FOUND.

JENNY has never given up looking for BONNIE and has been told this is a CIVIL MATTER. I have given her lots of advice on this and the way forward.
Unknown
CANT UNDERSTAND WHY DOG WARDEN DID NOT CHECK FOR A MICROCHIP>

Someone messed up here did`nt they? When Bonnie was given to the new "Owners" they knew that Bonnie did not belong to them. And she is microchipped. This is theft surely? Bonnie belongs to you. Hope we get lots of shares for Bonnie. What a lovely gift it would be if you were reunited with Bonnie. Fingers and paws xd.
