Plover found and reunited!
Thanks so much to all for their help especially the kind people in Enford, Coombe and Upavon. Managed to find her this morning thanks to local help. She was in remarkably good condition and is now home, fed and asleep in front of the fire.
Happy New Year!

JET thank you, I checked in with owner last evening who confirmed he was aware.... I have received a text moments ago from owner to say, 'we have plover!' I'm hoping to speak shortly for confirmation, would love to know how!

Beagle been seen in Enford today, on the farm side of the road. Post in Pewsey Notice Board Fb page from the person who saw it. They gave rung the number on here, but just getting an answer phone message. Can't get near the dog, so need to contact the owner asap.

A bit of advice to be passed onto the owner I read is visit the place you last seen the dog and leave an item of clothing that stinks of you and your home. Leave water but no food so you dont attract other animals and then recheck area following day and fingers crossed the dog is waiting for you. Might not work in every case but gota be worth a try as its worked for some xx

Missing Dog (Plover’s owner) now in contact with lady witness.
The lady confirms having seen a ‘flash of a stray dog’ originally in woodland east of the A345, Upavon but then again on Boxing Day morning. The stray beagle last sighted on the main A345 approx half a mile South of Upavon crossing into a soggy ploughed field on the west, running ‘uphill’ towards the direction of the Widdington Farm Clay Shoot SN9 6EE.
(There is mention of the dog having likely travelled ‘A’ tank crossing, a foot bridge across river which the owner recognised, familiar with area.)
The witness most helpful, has already notified local farmer and gamekeeper. is heading back onto the plain in next hour with her own dogs.
I have notified local Police team, have emailed Highways and will ensure shared to local Facebook pages.

I have just been made aware of a possible sighting of Plover Sat 26/12 at 1140hrs.
Stray dog described as ‘really lost or frightened’ possibly a beagle cross, white front end, dark rear end, no collar - seen to cross the main A345 Upavon onto the west side running full speed across a field.
Also seen Fri 25/12. I have the witness tel no and will call this morning so as to put them in touch with Missing Dog for exact location/further info.

Missing Dog
Plover was seen yesterday on the Plain near Enford. She is very spooked. So best not to approach her - just let me know and I will come along with one of her friends to entice her back. Thanks everyone.
Nelsonbeagle

FOUND-deceased dog
Yesterday (20.12.15) I found a deceased female Beagle on the A40 just outside Burford, Oxon. I took her to my vets, Cogges Veterinary Surgery in Witney. She was microchipped, I've just heard that they are still trying to find her owner.
