I text bears owner a little earlier to make sure they were aware of this sighting and have just received the fabulous news that Bear has been found safe and well.

I'm sure Amy will confirm the details when she gets a chance. x

You might already have seen this post, but can't see that anyone has commented on it. I've seen a message on the post on dog walkers of Chester facebook page that Bear was seen running by the river near the ferry hotel... this would have been several hours ago now I'm afraid, but I'm only just home and not sure if you've seen the post.

Link to post is here if you haven't seen it and want to try and get more information.

Just an extra thought - having walked that part of the Greenway a little while ago - there was a kennels cattery that backed onto it pretty close by there - definitely worth checking in with them to make sure he's not be drawn there by the sound of other dogs.... looking at Goole Maps - I think it's called Birchwood kennels and cattery - contact details on this link. http://www.boardingkennels.org/details/kennels.php?recordID=3639

Admin - Is it possible to confirm the postcode please? I would expect the old RAF Sealand site to be CH5 postcode. The Greenway carries through quickly from there into CH1 as well, so may be worth sending additional alerts to CH5 and CH1.

Important to notify both Flintshire and Cheshire West and Chester dog wardens for the same reason. Dogs found in Cheshire West area can usually (not always) be found on this link - http://www.cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk/residents/pests_pollution_food_safety/animal_welfare/stray_and_abandoned_dogs/stray_dog_photographs.aspx

I've seen Bears details being shared round several local sites this evening. All crossed he's home safe with you very soon. x
