I've spoken to furbaby and I take my hat off to her and Mike who went above and beyond in retrieving GEE and tracking family down.

If it was not for the lovely community of animal lovers owners may have still been searching and never knowing what had happened to their gorgeous girl.

She was MICROCHIPPED but not all the details were up to date, furbaby did a wonderful job following things up and finally got in touch with owners. THANKS again for all the help and time given to owners who have now laid GEE to rest, they said she loved to go to the Beach. x

Rainbow Bridge

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.

There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.

There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Could it have been a red harness with the dye mainly washed out .
Liz Q
The only *vaguely* similar dog with a pink harness I can find via google is Bonnie, a missing Ambull from Birkenhead on the FOBK website. Have emailed them.

Our tides in this area generally flow north so I agree with the remark ref possibly from Liverpool or even north wales. We get many dead porpoises and the occasional seals that have washed up on Formby beach via North Wales. We are also having very high tides at the moment . Last edited: 2015-12-29 19:46:24 by Bo

Emailed the finder & received the following email:

Hi Liz,

The dog had a pink chest harness, one that runs along the chest and between the front legs. The front may have been made of pink neoprene or just fabric, with black straps and edges.

No collar, as far as we could see.

The dog had a bit of short snout, like a pug, but it was bigger than a pug, more the size a cocker spaniel.

The body was at advanced stages of decay, so there is no clue of the dogs colour, may have been tan. But hard to tell.

The warden from the council suggested to contact environmental services to remove the body. As they are closed, I don’t think nothing will happen until Tuesday when the council reopens. I also sent an email to Sefton Coast Services, so someone will take care of the body by next week.

Someone will need to phone me, as I did not give specific details of the location by email, as it is easier to describe over the phone. So I will reiterate that the dog should be checked for its microchip.

The chip may well be gone, if it had one.

The dog did wash up on the beach, so may have originated from elsewhere along the coast, perhaps Liverpool?

The only real clue, is its pink coloured harness.

I hope this helps to add details to the poster.

Unfortunately with all the recent floods there are going to be pets found washed up and they could be well out of the area where they have gone missing from. :(

Thinking of this poor dog and family, hope they manage to get closure. :(
BigGSDPatlucky
Would be so helpful if they could say what breed colour of even size
Any way of finding out please?
