Oh well done everyone, this is why you need help where good people know what they are doing , too many dogs are chased by well meaning people trying to catch a dog
Brilliant result!

just read he has been caught
Heather
I am so sorry that he has not yet been found. I wonder if there is a former name or number or key words (probably Spanish) that he might recognise and be reassured by should he be sighted. Good luck. Heather

Suggest you let owner of Pennywell Farm nr Buckfastleigh know and get some posters up there as Otto may be attracted to the farm and surrounding area (They have a lot of animals and would also help you if need be) They are closed to the public at the moment but will have staff on site 01364 642023. He went missing from Glanville Road Tavistock (home) and was sighted several times in Tavistock last night, today he was sighted last sighting in the fields behind Kelly College School this was around 1130ish. We hunted around there but couldnt find him. He will not come if you chase him, you may catch him with food, please can everyone keep giving me sightings

Please caring people if you see this dog DO NOT approach him or call him as he does not recognize his name, but call the owner give him a wide berth ...I beg you we do not want him leaving the area as he is a scared little dog ..thank you x

Email from owner:

He went missing from home at 4.15pm (he has only lived with us for 2 weeks but he has come from spain from a pound where he was born 4 years ago, he has only been out for a walk 3 times as he doesn't understand leads or
houses, so he isn't in a familiar area even though he is probably I hope somewhere not
too far from our house. We had friends round and as we were saying good bye we thought
he was in another room and he just ran out so quickly we nearly caught him 2 or 3 times, but
in the end couldn't find him. A few people nearby said they saw him but he won't even come to his name at the moment, he is a very frightened dog as he is a rescue, he just
flinches and runs, I'm not sure we or anyone will be able to catch him and it is so wet and
cold out tonight, we are so worried, we searched for 3 hours.

Sending general advice to owner, we need to know more about how he went missing, i.e. on a walk or from home.
