Check out found dog 97933, I know there is some distance but it follows a main road so he could have been picked up then dropped off?

Had a good walk around fields backing up to the motorway today checking hedges- fencing and calling but no luck I'm afraid. Walked along the river towards pounds ford? I think. Lots of highly visible posters up- all footpaths seem to be covered so just hope for some good news.

Have posters gone up in the area? I can assemble some and deliver them tonight or tomorrow morning if that is any help. Not sure if I will have time to poster a wide area though.Have all figs hunting grounds been checked especially any areas of thick undergrowth, fences?

Sorry no details at all but a cocker spaniel was found on the canal towpath this afternoon at Maunsel Lock. Bit of a distance from Staplehay but who knows? The Dog Warden was informed and if not reunited will be at St Giles Kennels Wrantage

• Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
