  • Lost In Post Area DT2
  • Date Reunited 07 Jan 2016
  • Other Info Boysie was wearing a brown coat with a checked lining which was then found at the side of the road on The Weir. Worryingly it's thought that it would be unlikely for him to have wriggled out of his coat himself. No collar or tag and is not yet chipped. No photo available but will endeavour to find a similar photo

Boycie has been found safe and well. He was picked by the warden in Ferndown and was taken to Margaret Green. How he got there we can only wonder!

Thank you Rainbowrussell for searching for Boycie and to Karen for sharing.
A glimmer of hope for the morning. Boycie's owner has posted this to facebook today ......
"At last had some news from east dorset dog warden, he's pretty confident that he picked boycie up and is waiting for me to go see him in the morning, thanks everyone and I will inform every as soon as I know"

Yes I do wonder if maybe someone found him and his coat was so wet they took it off?Maybe in town again 2moro so will have a drive around maybe a it further along towards Charminster!

Thanks for looking Rainbowrussell, the fields were quite flooded along that stretch of road and a few swans foe Boyce to chase. Maybe someone has picked him up but not reported it yet.
RAINBOWRUSSELL
Parken in Lidls and walked along the A37 to the little roundabout...couldn't see or hear anything! Sorry!
RAINBOWRUSSELL
OK,did ask on facebook where the Weir was as only one I could find was in Weymouth the google maps! Going to Dorchester later, will have a look round!

It is the part near the Loaders Garage on the A37. Boyce's coat was found at the side of the road near the large lay by.

Warden and local vets already aware but have suggested Margaret Green contacted and that posters are put up to spread awareness as someone may have seen him or someone picking him up

Wonder if it would help by taking the other dog out that also went missing to see if it could pick up Boycie's scent. Need to get lots of posters out to make him TOO HOT TO HANDLE. Does seem odd that you found his coat and couldnt imagine he wriggled out of it. Hope you find him very soon x

We are requesting permission to use similar photos for the poster. Please leave access to shelter at home and keep a lookout over night in case he returns when all is quiet in the early hours.
