- I believe the owner handed himself in (please see earlier posts). I am guessing the rspca are still investigating which of course, will take time especially if a prosecution is in process!

- Does anyone know the latest on this poor baby? Did they ever find the owners?
- 2016-01-13 20:07 Mollychops

- Any news on the person who did this dreadful thing please?. Perhaps we could give this puppy a name. We dont want the one that this moron may have gave him do we? SHAME ON YOU
- 2016-01-09 09:39 Pilot's mum
- This is dreadful - one thing that concerns me ,and I very much hope that I am wrong ,is whether this man has young children.
The NSPCC was founded as a result of the RSPCA inspectors finding that where animals are ill treated any children in the family are also ill treated. - 2016-01-08 14:54 JulieH
- Will the culprit be named and shamed I wonder ? bless you little Star xx

- I was wondering if this poor puppy could be mentioned on This Morning as they have featured rescue dogs this week, but thankfully have just read that someone has handed themselves in. Now justice hopefully for Star.
- 2016-01-07 22:19 ClaireC
- I am delighted that this person handed himself in to face the punishment which to a degree will be taken into consideration if/when court action is taken.

- Oh my God. I have just read all of the comments and agree with everything everyone has said.
I know I always mention Travellers, but do you think that they have done this. If not, whoever has, you are at the bottom of the scale as far as human beings are concerned and I hope that something really awful happens in your life. I am not a religious person, but more of a spiritual person, but the saying goes.... God pays his debts in many ways.... And I hope this happens to the people that did this.
RIP dear sweet little Star, you are now in a happy place with all of the other dogs in heaven. Xxxxxx - 2016-01-07 09:30 slabcabbage
- Have fun at the bridge Star xxxxxx
As a Spiritualist janiejewel I know that this so called human being
will have to pay for this evil act no one can escape
their actions Karma will be done. sadly we will never know
how but I really do agree with everyone on here we must
not let this rest Star has given his life so we can stop this
cruel person doing it again to another puppy.
I found it hard to sleep last night thinking about Star
may this thing, scumbag, rotton evil coward never have a
moments peace as long as it lives...not very spiritaul I know
but to think how this little suffered..........

- Linds T I agree with all you say.

- Sickening and cruelly dumped by cowards. It has crossed my mind that perhaps this puppy could have been stolen in a burglary and then dumped by the thief? Just a thought. I hope whoever did this is caught and gets publicly named, and banned from keeping animals for life, whether it is a thief or someone who didn`t want this innocent puppy, someone knows where it came from and is responsible for deciding to dump him. Scum!

- Thanks Jot cotswolds. Just wondered. I know it kis very sadb ut we know that he is okay now being cared for by the Angels. A friend of mine who is a retired Spiritualist medium and unfortunately is unable to practise any more because of ill health telle me that this person will get their comeuppance, and that the puppy is now okay. I had sittings with this person, when he was well, and there was no way he could have known the thing he told me, family names etc.

- 2016-01-06 21:26 Unknown
- I agree the more publiciry the better. I was thinking that if trhe child is of an age (Depending on the area) he/she may tell their friends that their puppy has gone missing; just a thought. Thanks for sharing again charlie, and sooty.

- What a lousy rotten towrag to do this to a puppy. You are not fit to breathe the same air as other people. If a person could do this to. I am so angry that a person like shti a young puppy, then Heaven help their children I am so angry and upset to see this. Whoever did this should disposed of; that`s what you do with rubbish. At least we know this baby will be safe, and happy at the bridge. Nightie night sweet baby. sleep tight. RIP+ God Blessx A~~~Candle~~~burns for you ~Run free with the Angelsx(HUG) I hope this evil scum bag posing as a human being is caught before he does it to another puppy. May you never find peace. Perhaps the childs clothing may help indentify this moron. Wonder if there was cctv at the time?
- 2016-01-06 20:01 slabcabbage
- poor baby, this person who did this needs to be found I think the Daily Papers should be told so this person is brought to justice, someone knows about this puppy we must keep in in the puplic eye.
They say Karma comes around ....well Hades would be to good for this creature.
sorry tears now Run free my little one xxxxx - 2016-01-06 20:01 Mitzimo
- This is so sad and so unnecessary, this poor puppy could have so easily be rehomed if they had taken it to a rescue. Too many deceased dogs on the found page recently
- 2016-01-06 19:41 Jot cotswolds
- It is being shared on a cirencester area facebook for sale site and a message has been left for finder to ensure report is made to rspca and to let them know where the pup is now. I am unconnected to the finder myself
- 2016-01-06 19:35 collieowner
- Hope finder reports this to the police,RSPCA and the local papers, then maybe, just maybe, this cruel excuse of a human being will be found and dealt with.RIP puppy.
- 2016-01-06 19:05 Rose
- Despicable. The person who abandoned this puppy surely would not have thought the puppy would stay in the bed. Would be lovely if the person was traced and prosecuted. Poor boy didnt deserve this x
- 2016-01-06 18:57 Chilebat
- There are no excuses for this none at all! Any good breeder would have taken him back or a rescue would have certainly taken him in. This person needs to be found and made accountable for their actions. I hope they never ever decide to get another animal, worrying that they seem to have a child. Your life should have been so different I'm so sorry you didn't get to live it, rest in peace little one xx
- 2016-01-06 18:49 charlie and sooty
- This is Heart Breaking. I have shared in the hope that the person that did this is found. RIP Little puppy, you did not deserve this..Now go and Run Free and play at Rainbow Bridge x
- 2016-01-06 18:03 digbysmum
- Absolutely sickening. Maybe the pup was left in the basket and managed to get across the road? We will never know. Yes, I agree, probably an unwanted Christmas present. Hope the person who did this is traced, and prosecuted. Run free at the bridge, dear little pup, you deserved better xxxx
- 2016-01-06 17:58 ClaireC
- Truly sickening and callous inhuman individual. I hope that any person who was aware of somebody saying that they had just got a puppy and now saying it has gone comes forward with information and they can use the rspca cruelty line and get justice for this little one. RIP pup in a far better place now.xx
- 2016-01-06 17:42 Caroline
- This is sickening, it makes my heart bleed that there are people in this world that can do this. Laws need to be place to ensure EVERY Dog is chipped before being sold on.
- 2016-01-06 17:29 JulieH
- Someone somewhere knows where this poor dog spent his short life, shame on whoever is responsible.
- 2016-01-06 16:55 lindsay
- this is heartbreaking, i agree probably an unwanted xmas present. I hope the shameful scum are caught rip poor puppy xx
- 2016-01-06 16:44 Jot cotswolds
- I have added all this from a facebook post which has just come out- looks like it was actually found yesterday the 5th Jan, full post:
"Today beside the road between Park Corner Farm Sapperton and Daglingworth I saw a small dog bed. I stopped to check and on the other side of the road under a hedge found the body of a puppy.
It was a black male with a white chin, I would guess about 8 to 10 weeks old. Clearly the unwanted Christmas present of some heartless person without an ounce of humanity who didn't even leave it somewhere where it had a chance of being found.
Instead they left it to die cold wet and alone under a hedge.
The dog bed was a domed shape made with beige coloured fleece decorated with black paw marks. A small childs sock and pair of pants were inside the bed so I presume the person who did this is a parent.
Did you give a puppy with a dog bed like this to somebody in the Cirencester area or did you see a puppy like this somewhere over Christmas or the new year and it's not there now?
The callous person who did this needs to be named and shamed and hopefully prosecuted." - 2016-01-06 16:37
