- Here is the REUNITED photos you have all been waiting to see, Honey back home with her family! Missing from nr Ramsbotton on Wednesday 06.01.16, and out for 7 nights, Honey was finally caught on 13.01.16. She had travelled some miles and at speed, but her owners Natalie, Paul, and children Georgia and Luke, not forgetting their other dog Finn, have worked so so hard, along with some amazing helpers - and they got the result we have all been waiting for. Honey was eventually tracked down in the Scott Park area of Burnley. She had lost a lot of weight and her paws were quite sore, but she was seen by a vet and given a course of antibiotics and something to help settle her tummy. EVERYONE has been brilliant, all the people searching, everyone who phoned in with sightings, everyone who shared her missing details, and a big shout out to Lancashire Police who played a massive part also. A big well done and thank you to all involved xx
Message from Paul (Honey's dad)
There are so many people we need to thank, its hard to put a list together, but we would like to specially mention DogLost, Russ & Lisa, Mark and Lucy, Louise, Gill & Roy, Debbie, Nic, Lesley, Lisa, Debbie (willows, wags and whiskers), Sarah and Wayne, and of course Mark and all his colleagues from Lancashire Police.
There really are so many to thank, so many of whom took an interest and helped in some way, along the journey from Stubbins, Edenfield, Rawtenstall, Crawshawbooth, Clowbridge, Burnley & Padiham.
Welcome home beautiful Honey xxx
I have uploaded a reunited photo - please refresh the page to view it xx - 2016-01-15 11:07 Doglover

- Thank you Mark and Lucy. Yes we knew who you were. Shortly after we spoke to you, we met the family on the lane! It touched me when I saw tears in the eyes of the children and the box of dog biscuits they were carrying we knew we had to get her back... Thanks.
P.s. it was just the badge on your hat that nearly put me off, lol, as i was off to O.T that afternoon....xLast edited: 2016-01-15 08:27:17 by Teahupoo vw - 2016-01-14 21:06 Claire Gresty - Area Co-ordinator & Police Liaison - North West

- Hi everyone....Wahoo..... have not stopped grinning.....so happy.
I just wanted to give you a quick update. Honey is doing really well and settling back at home better that I could ever have hoped for after her epic adventure. She has been checked over by her vet and has a course of anti-biotics and something to help settle her tummy. She is one incredibly lucky girl. She's resting her weary paws at the moment and enjoying all her cuddles. We will be in touch very soon with her progress and some pictures. Team Honey we love you all xxx - 2016-01-14 15:50 Sharon - Social Media Volunteer

She didn't go for anybody at all, she surrendered to tiredness I think. I cried when I got the lead on her, she is a very lucky girl. Thanks to all you police for the help at the end, you really were great and we can now sleep again. Just like Honey is now... x - 2016-01-13 15:16 Mark96

- Update from Natalie:
Hi Claire, well just got a call from friends who came across someone, who reported seeing some else trying to coax a dalmatian across a small road in the Padiham area. Near fagan and whalley. I need to look the address up, this was about 11 o'clock this morning. Nothing since in terms of timeline except what's been posted on doglost. It's starting to look like that's where she is. A couple of guys have been out in Padiham all pm but nothing. I would say we need to wait until we get a newer sighting, she could have covered quite a bit if ground if she's moved this afternoon.
She's certainly enjoying this game of hide and seek! She has to be getting tired now, come on Honey, please give yourself upto someone, this is just heartbreaking xx - 2016-01-12 18:28 Mark96
- If it was Honey on the A6068 Padiham bypass this morning. It occured to me that it goes south, if and it's only a guess, she went back into Padiham - I was on Google maps to try and second guess her next move...I followed Manchester road in Padiham, which goes parallel with Padiham bypass...if she kept going on there in a straight line...you'll never guess where it comes out.......Yes Manchester Road, Clowbridge near the Beijing Cantonese!!! Only a guess obviously...
- 2016-01-12 18:22 Teahupoo vw
- Yes they have thanks Skywalker. They had a scenting dog out with them the other evening..
- 2016-01-12 18:04 Skywalker99

- Just got in... Walked from clayton to Padiham along the river, then through the centre and back out along Blackburn rd through all the industrial estates. Very suspicious of no more sightings especially in that busy area.. We need a sighting. Sat here waiting to get in the motor. Is there anyway of spreading it to a further audience? Especially to all the surrounding areas of Padiham.
- 2016-01-12 17:32 simonb
- Been out since 12ish searched Padiham and ind estates and parks and fields also looked round simonstone area Huncoat,Hapton and Hambledon hill but sadly no sighting, praying for a sighting soon, simon and gaynor

- Set out at 3pm. Drove up the A6078 to Blackburn via Clayton and Rishton and back into Padiham, Up Barrowford Rd to B6249 and back, went through Padiham centre going back out towards Burnley, no joy sorry. God this is frustrating! I wish she would stay in one place for a few days! Mark

- 2016-01-12 12:51 Teahupoo vw
- Clare1975, can you ask your friend if it was definitely a chocolate coloured Dalmatian? As this will really move are searching area. We need to be sure it is Honey. As we have been informed that another Dalmatian has escaped a few times in the Padiham area. However I do not want to discount it. Thanks

- Thank you all for the help and sightings yesterday, you are keeping us going ! Sunday was a very down day, with lots of people looking and no sightings. Yesterday was frantic with close to a dozen sighting of honey in the Burnley area. She seemed to work her way into town down Manchester road, looped round by the McDonalds and headed up Accrington road. She reappeared last night on Coal Clough Lane and appeared to be headed back to the farmland on the other side of Rossendale Road. There are plenty of farms with out buildings she could bed down in. She is adamant that she is staying away from people. When spotted yesterday she looked well, even though still very panicked. So when we do finally get close to her, its going to be a real challenge to get her trust ! Yesterday we were so close, I really hope we or someone gets a chance soon to bring her home.Last edited: 2016-01-12 10:37:39 by NatalieC

- I think you are right Teahupoo vw, I to think she is finding shelter on the farms, it's round here too that Natalie has scented. I went to meet Natalie and her family last night, Honey was brought up with horses, so she may feel safe here. I obviously don't want to see another lost dog out but that puts my mind at rest to know the Padiham sighting wasn't Honey! Phew!
The support from everyone has been fantastic, really hope to see her home today xx - 2016-01-11 23:05 Skywalker99

- We have had a good look around Coal Clough lane and feel she has headed back out to the moorland, where she has been being seen since Saturday. She maybe finding shelter on the farms, lets hope. She seems a very clever dog. The Dog in Padiham has turned out to be another loose Dalmatian! sorry for any confusion.
Any sightings tomorrow around the burnley/Rawtenstall area please call me straight after you have contacted the Natalie, I am only 10 minutes away depending on the traffic. 07850727773 Russell. - 2016-01-11 21:51 Mark96
- I think the tracker lady from yesterday lives around that area, maybe a bit late to give her a ring now? She gave Nat her address and number...

- Just spent the last half an hour driving up and down Coal Clogh Lane and the surrounding streets. I didn't see her but there are so many dark areas she could be hiding in. I will look again in the morning.

If you have time tonight look up Whisper Dalamatian on doglost from Jan 2015 in Reunited section and how we got her in on day 9 , they look to have even come from the same line. Any time someone tried to help Whisper, she would turn 180 degrees and run the other way. It took a familiar dog , corned beef scattered into the air near her, sitting down with a slip lead and no eye contact and she came into me who had owned her for two weeks previously. Spookily the same one year on for me to read of this and my heart goes out to you.Last edited: 2016-01-11 21:27:50 by Elizabeth L - W - 2016-01-11 20:40 Claire Gresty - Area Co-ordinator & Police Liaison - North West

- Yes she has been sighted in Padiham. Although patchy, The owner got a call from a lady saying she had seen her in Padiham. My wife and I were on the canal at the side of the cemetery where there had been reports of her running after she had been seen at the back of the Waggoners . A elder man told us that he had seen her running across the road at Padiham baths.
We have driven around Padiham but not knowing it is very difficult. Please if anybody knows anybody in Padiham, get them to put it on face book so it spreads to locals. She is soon going to tire, adventually approaching someone. That is a very long run she has done today. However everybody keep looking, even in the crawshawbooth Area and Cloughbridge as she is moving a speed and may retrace...Last edited: 2016-01-11 18:00:22 by Teahupoo vw - 2016-01-11 17:05 Lucy

They are still in the area if anyone can go and help, but it isnt easy in traffic... Get yourself home Honey ASAP. - I think we may have passed her on Manchester road Burnley, there was a dog matching her description running down from Crowne point (from the tops) towards the crossroads, unfortunately I could not stop I am very sorry! The dog looked petrified and was running in the road, looked to have a collar on and very muddy feet. I hope you manage to find her soon, I only came across this post when finding the Burnley animals lost page to report a sighting x

- Drove round for most of the afternoon/evening and spoke to as many people as we could. I agree with the poster below, so many people had already heard about Honey and we're definitely on their guard. If she's in the local area still someone will see her. Praying for Honey's safe return.

- Just driven around for the best part of the evening. Also spoke with a guy carrying a torch in a yellow coat, think he may be the owner. Chin up my friend, as everybody whom I informed on the street knew about Honey and were keeping a close eye out. (also on the moors over the last 2 days)
I work in and around Rawtenstall everyday, so will be informing and keeping our eyes out.. - 2016-01-10 19:24 Angelhart

- Honey seems to be heading further away. She has been spotted many times over the last four days as she has covered the 9 miles from ramsbottom to clow bridge. Every time we have caught up with her she has moved on. Judging by sightings today, she will be in Accrington or burnley tomorrow, if she stays on the same trajectory. If she'd gone in the other direction she would be home now, which is where we all want her ! Thanks for all the fantastic help today with the search, especially for those that turned out in the cold and rain.

- Whilst out and seeing the postmen and women, it occured to me you should get posters up in the delivery offices, as the posties cover everywhere..I used to work for Royal Mail and there were posters up of dogs lost... Trouble is they will be closed from this afternoon until Monday morning. It is also important to ask virtually everyone you pass if they have seen her and what number to contact if they do..

- Spotted a dalmatian tonight at 18:40 near me.
Poppes out of goodshaw fold road BB4, aond took off towards Rawtenstall then disappeared off a side road (higher booth's lane).
Area vee dark and no torch, but suspect it headed off into the undergrowth and towards the valley bottom towards limy water.
There are 2 or 3 out looking now, and will possibly head out later too.
Not sure we will have much success in the dark though.Last edited: 2016-01-08 19:08:10 by Alex - 2016-01-08 19:01 Mark96

- Owner if you email admin with the post codes of where your dog has been sighted they usually try and get alerts sent out to the areas. Have you any contacts with someone with a drone machine who could help so that you cut down the miles searching
- 2016-01-08 16:53 Mark96
- Would it not be helpful if some more alerts were sent out to postcodes where she has been seen since wednesday? I have been out this afternoon looking round near the shell garage in Rawtenstall and then back to Edenfield. It is frustrating I know, we had a dog out from Bleakholt a few years ago and she was also nervous of people, it always seems to be those types of dog on the loose, where it's so much harder to catch them..

- Hi Mark, would love to take you up on the idea, but we just dont know where to start. Honey has covered such a distance from where she slipped her lead. She could be in Burnley or Accrington now, or back tracked to stubbins, or is still in Rawtenstall. We really need another sighting so we can focus on one point. This is what makes this so upsetting, we really want her back but dont know where to find her :-(. We have driven nearly 200 miles over the last few days, never mind the hours of walking, and so far she has always been somewhere else..... so frustrating and upsetting!!! If we get any information we will let everyone know so we can try and set up a search party. Everybody has been so generous and helpful. its been really touching. Thank you all
- 2016-01-08 13:33 Mark96
- Hi. I can come out and search in the morning for a few hours if that's ok? Maybe we could all meet somewhere first and then go to different areas, so we aren't all looking in the same place? Just an idea.. Mark

- Honey was sighted again this evening, between 5-6pm on Burnley Rd in Rawtenstall opposite the shell/spar station. We spent the evening combing the area but she appears to have either moved on or gone to ground. Thanks you to all of those that helped with the search. I really hope someone manages to gain her trust long enough, to secure her. The house isn't the same without her.

- Saw this dog last night on the bypass to the m66 near tesco, we stopped and looked for half hour but saw no signs as it looked like she had headed north away from the road in to the fields towards the top road where the fishermans retreet is.
This was about midnight, could only whistle to get attention as the lights on the road were not on
