- Can we give this poor dog s name please? Presume it would have to be a unisex one if gender is unknown

- Have been in touch with finder and the person who scanned the dog. Sadly no microchip so unlikely that we will be able to trace owner. Thanks to finder for retrieving this dog from the beach and to AF for scanning. RIP Little dog.

- Thanks for the update Springermad. Thanks also to TK and you for offering to collect today but looks like it's in hand. Hope we get an answer back from the Fbk post to let us know who has the poor dog now.

- Oh poor thing, If I can help in any way please say ....
As you say, we need to try and get dog scanned, I wonder if dog wardens would help? I know they operate a 24 hr service in this area .... x - 2016-01-10 19:40 SpringerMad - Area Volunteer, East Sussex
- Liz - is the phone number above yours, or the finders? We are trying to locate where the bavarian grill is? Are we talking the main camber sands carpark where the chip shop and the kit kat cafe place is/was? Up at the end of old Lydd Road?

- Waiting for contact details for finder. Can admin please update region if it's incorrect please.
From finder:
Made a bit of a gruesome discovery on the beach at Camber sands in Kent today.
I found the washed up remains of what I think was a Jack Russell or similar on the beach first thing this morning. It was in quite an advanced stage of decay poor thing.
and
I have placed it in a blue plastic crate that I also found washed up, and have moved it up the beach next to the litter collection point at 'The Bavarian Grill' which is where the arcade is/was.
I have tried to call the council but they are shut today and the RSPCA won't come out as its not a case of animal cruelty. - 2016-01-10 12:10
