Reading through the thread on Urban's FB page it seems he may have been found on Salisbury plain in February, but when he was scanned for a chip one couldn't be found.....

Urban's story will be on BBC Radio Wilts just after 7am tomorrow morning and we will be on after 8am talking about dog theft.

Taken from f/b... Urban has been found after 6 months! He's currently in South Oxfordshire with the dog wardens. It appears that someone has been looking after him as he has a different collar on but it appears he's escaped them too!

Pat returned my email to say that to date there have been no sightings of Urban. I did say to Pat that no lost dog is ever forgotten and that we never say never. Please may i ask you to share again please. Someone somewhere knows where Urban is and urge them to do the right thing if theyve got him which is to make contact with his owner as he is sadly missed everyday.

Springers (he looks like a Springer to me) are quite capable of looking after them selves as they are hunting dogs, however 6 weeks and no sightings since 20 Jan is a long time, therefore he has either moved on (why?) been picked up (has that van been checked out & people passing through ) or fear the worst, sorry to have to bring that up but are there any hazards i.e railways lines etc in the area?
Why did he run off? (sorry for questions)

I have also asked (but not holding breath) to see if we can get Urban a mention on The One Show tonight at 7pm BBC1 as they are highlighting ?stolen dogs on it. Maybe we will be lucky

Hi I have just received an email from Pat. She just wanted you all to know that she has been in hospital and has been unable to update the page herself. She said that is now 6 weeks since Urban has gone missing with no other information coming thro' I have reassured her that we do all continue to keep an eye out for him and cross check against other found spaniels that we are alerted to. I am sure the best medicine would be to get Urban home and to that end lets be successful. Thank you.

Read my post from29/1st it explains it all, yes it's very rural and lots of farms about, he is probably sheltering but he needs to be home. Any more info about posters etc or anything I can do please let me know.

There have been no more sightings to what I'm aware of i keep checking his page every hour or so just incase, I've just been trying to get them further a field for the fact that there has been no sightings since the last one a few weeks ago as he could have gone further out where people may not be aware that he is missing, and he could be anywhere by now :-( . Thats the same as me I've finished all mine I'm going to post on the Find Urban page to see if anyone else can print some off for me and ill be back out again tomorrow. Thats no worries about the paper i just wasn't too sure how the best way to go about it was, ill leave that and stick to searching and popping up posters :-) Where about was he when you son seen him and do you know what direction he possibly went? Ive been up there so many times and theres so many big farms he could be seeking shelter in one of them possibly :-/

Emma has he been seen in Manningford? Only asking because if that was him my son saw at Easton Royal, that's opposite direction as I'm sure you know. I am happy to poster but printing is a problem as I don't have one. If any kind soul can print for me I will take them around happily, why are there no sightings of this boy? Is he keeping low still? Ive been sorting out a Twitter account tonight so I've just managed to put a couple of posts up on there and get it circulating around that side of social media so i will keep hammering that now its on there :) If theres anywhere near around where you there isn't any posters please if you can get some up, I'm heading up towards Manningford Bohune area early hours and try and get a few smaller villages around there, i only have a limited supply at a time as I'm unable to print so thankfully a few kind people have printed them off for me in the past, there may be some areas i may miss due to my 5 month old been quite demanding at times when out and about and my two loopy fur-babys! If there is an area anyone comes across which doesn't have any please post onto the FindUrban FB page and ill try and cover what i can if you are unable to put any up due to work etc…Im currently on Maternity Leave at the minute so I'm always about if anything like this needs doing or to go to any possible sightings...Does anyone know the process of how we can get this in any local/national papers?? x

Hi, I just thought i would assure everyone there is still plenty going on regarding looking for Urban, He is still been looked for daily around the surrounding areas, have started to go further a field and will continue to do so and pop up posters, I have also tried late night/early hours starts incase he is hunting or on the move when its quiet as there are a lot of big exercises currently taking place on the plains, being military myself i have quite a few people out and about on salisbury plain at the mo so the word is been spread throughout the guys. I will be going to the local radio station monday morning to try and get the word across that way too. I can only imagine the reason that page is as quiet as it is as nearly every avenue has been tried by everyone involved and were hoping on a sighting soon. I hope this can reassure people that we are still working really hard to find him. We won't give up until he is back home with his family. x

Plus those days we've had where it's frozen too. Poor boy. I still keep looking out for him as I work on the base but don't think he could survive out in all that awful weather alone. If he'd been mine I'd have stayed out all night in the areas he's been seen till I recovered him !! I wouldn't be leaving till I had him picked up. At least we tried, Heth.....but I think he's been out too long now :(

Maybe a chance, my son was during through Easton Royal this morning, about 10.30,a liver and white spaniel ran into the road in front of him, he luckily missed it. A Brewers (paint co ) van stopped, my son is not sure if he picked up dog. He thought the dog was wearing a white collar. Not too far from Urbans sightings as the crow flies.!!

All that information is up on my office door on the base and flyers are up all over the camp too. Here's hoping I can take it down after the weekend. Wish he'd stay put for a wee while !!

Urban was seen back in Everleigh on the Sat 16th Jan, and now back over at the golf course/Trenchard Barracks on Wed 20th Jan.
He seems to be trotting backwards and forwards between the 2!

I work on Camp-have you dropped into the gatehouse and asked the guys there to keep an eye out for him as well ? I'm looking out and on my drive there and back to Shipton but I'm going the opposite way to the golfcourse, sadly.....

Will probably continue to hang around golf course area as very quiet from sundown. You could perhaps speak to the club and they can ask golfers to report in any sightings on the course. Give them some posters to put up in the changing room areas plus the golf shop if theyve got one. Also poster around the immediate area.Ask if you can set up a feeding station up there although be prepared to feed a lot of wildlife there! If you have another dog ask if you can walk around early am ie sunrise and then again sunset. Good luck.

"I think we may have seen him about 11 o'clock on the golf course. We thought he was chasing a deer. If it was the same dog, it was last seen heading back towards Upavon camp. Hope he's reunited with his family soon " 12/1

Owner has reported to us that he has been seen in Upavon which is still SN9 but the opposite direction to his home. "he was running down the hill on the road which goes past the golf course from the camp --sorry but this is all the info i could get from the camp"

Have made contact with owners daughter, they have done most things except log with the police which they will now do.
His home is SP9 Shipton but lost in Everleigh, not an area he is very familiar with. Items of clothing / bedding etc left
