Thank you, not sure what bumped means though.

Jack is bumped due to coverage in the Countrymans Weekly

Yes, I did ring up straight away but it was not Jack. He did look very like him but Jack had been castrated and that dog had not, so no doubt, not Jack. I hope the dog was alright, he had been in an accident. Thank you for caring.

Looks very much the same:
Male lurcher found today running up the A5199 between Kilby Bridge and the Kilby turn . Wearing a collar but no name tag. Has been taken to a local farm and the dog warden will be called. Very frightened chap . Please share

It does look a little like Jack but more likely to be Harvey, as he is from around that area but thank you.
I will put up more posters but there has been no sightings and I am out every day looking.
I haven't even seen one dog on its own.

There is a post on facebook which reads this - PLEASE PLEASE share this because it's breaking my heart seeing this dog! I have been to Chapel Common in Rake in Hampshire twice today and both times this dog was on its own, visibly scared and running away from anyone/anything that Got near it! I know it's a crap photo but it's the closest I could get to it without it running away! I have called the dog warden so they are aware but please share and maybe someone might know who's dog it is! From what I could see it was a wired haired dog with a long tail. Possibly a wolf hound?

The photo is poor and from a distance but looks similar to Jack so perhaps worth a look.

Worth a look?

Noticed someone in a car down that road with Helen around 9:15pm. They were putting their hazard lights on and stopping and looks as though they were using a tablet. Don't know if they were looking for Jack. Also noticed there are no posters along that road at all. We have put posters up for lost dogs around Derby before but unfortunatly our printer is broke. If you know family that can help print some off for you it might be worth getting some up along that road ASAP for the people who work down there. I really hope he is found soonLast edited: 2016-01-25 23:48:42 by Neil

Drove down towards Celanese warehouse about 9:15 this evening. I don't know the area very well at all but had a look around.

Still no sightings of poor Jack. It's 4 weeks now. I am still looking.

He ran into the wood beside the new warehouse, past the Blue Jay, just left of the A6 if you are driving towards the roundabout for the the south, airport etc.
The wood is close to the cycle track along the river where he is usually walked.
DogLostOwl
I know that area a bit. You will need to poster along the canal towpath and adjacent footpaths to make sure all dog walkers are aware, as Jack could move along those paths without being spotted.
Neil
It's Alvaston by the way not Alverston the area lost. Might want to update that bit.

So where abouts was he lost? Next to the cycle path beside the Derwent? The roads near the back from the tip? Or did he run off from the car park at the Blue Jay? Could you be more specific please if possible. Hope he is found he looks like such a gentle dogLast edited: 2016-01-20 20:25:30 by Neil

Hello. Jack is a Bedlington/Jack Russell maybe, but certainly Bedlington. He came from a rescue about 6 years ago. He is not very bright and his ears drop if he thinks he has done anything wrong. He ran off with my other dog, Eddie, a Jack Russell but he is very bright and came back. Thank you for helping me to look. Anne
