- I agree with you ClaireC. while this is no ones fault, not a good idea to walk youe dog by railways lines or busy roads without the dog being on a lead. Nightie, night, sleep tight, and have fun with Troya who is waiting to play. RIP+ God Blessx A~~~Candle~~~burns~~~for Dexi Run freex(HUG) My sympathy to his family. One day you will meet Dexi at the bridge, and you will never again be parted.

- I am so very sorry that your lad didnt make it home safely. Sadly network rail cant fence off everything and where I live railways are quite open as cars have to cross tracks and therefore any animal can get on tracks this way. Also many footpaths are open to allow disabled people access to and from. My deepest sympathies to Dexy owners. RIP lovely fella now young once again forever.xxLast edited: 2016-01-22 17:22:00 by ClaireC

- So upsetting. Why can't it be made law that all Railway lines have to be fenced off completely?

- I am so very sorry to hear that Dexy didn't make it home. I hate reading that dogs are lost near railway lines, they seem to be a bit of a magnet. Thanks to Network Rail for informing owner so that he at least has closure. Run free Dexy, my thoughts are with his owner at this very sad time.x

- A big thanks to everyone who shared/cared about Dexy. It really is very much appreciated. As Gem has noted, he was found dead on the railway line having nearly got home. It's too painful.

- It's with a heavy heart there is some news. Network Rail have contacted Jonny, Dexy was found dead on the tracks. Jonny understandably is devastated. Until he is able himself to make contact here, thankyou for your help and shares.

- Rosemary, this dog does look very similar. Was found in Chatham which is a very long way from where Dexy went missing, but we all know how dogs can travel. Can owner check please.

- Any news on Dexy ? I would go and have a chat with the travellers site very close by, they are out and about and may have seen him. Strays are taken to West End Farm Kennels at Buxall. Posters can be printed from here, get as many up as you can. Print off contact details onto small slips of paper that can be given to anyone you see. Contact Network Rail and make them aware of Dexy. Good luck hope he is found safe and well. Last edited: 2016-01-21 21:53:28 by SuzeeBee
