Any news?
Rose
The lady in the white car could have just let the dog out for toilet as she was already parked? x
DogLostOwl
There may be a CCTV camera, people in the search party were looking into that. Lacey was actually lost from home, bolted which is quite out of character. Later sighted in Allestree, and that area is regularly checked. Everyone there knows about her.
Baydogs
Owl, would this sighting have taken place where there were CCTV cameras?
ClaireC
Hopefully the woman who picked dog up would take to a vet! At least Lacey is chipped and just feel if it were her then a vet would have been in contact. Please also keep returning to place where lost from. Good luck. XLast edited: 2016-01-28 21:10:03 by ClaireC

Further to more info on incident below, the witness didn't pick up the dog but had just pulled over to do so when 2nd lady got out of white car which she had already parked, got out and picked the dog up.

We need to rule out a possible sighting. At 9.45 this morning, a dog identical to Lacey was seen alone on grass verge near Duffield Station. She had same colour collar as Lacey but no coat. A lady picked the dog up but the another lady pulled up in a white car, scooped up the dog and drove away. This may well have been a dog belonging to this lady, by if so we would like to hear from her to rule out it being Sophie. Last edited: 2016-01-27 15:02:16 by Owl

Oh dear this is not good news, she has probably gone into hiding. I do hope she is found asap and that her injuries are not to severe .

Just had an update from Owl who says the search is being well organised...thanks due to helpers and Becky who was doing a good job at utilising the volunteers and issuing them with maps etc... and that at least 20 people turned up to help look today
DogLostOwl
It has just been confirmed that the dog in Markeaton Park yesterday was not Lacey. So we have no actual sightings since 21st. Maximum publicity has been done and there is a well organized search in progress.
DogLostOwl
Updating sightings: Lacey was seen again on the 21st on the football field at back of Woodlands School. And a possible sighting has just been reported from yesterday, near tennis courts in Markeaton Park.

Have passed details on to family members that live in the area and asked them to pass on to their friends .
She will be hiding up so please if not already done put up lots and lots of posters in the area she was lost and also around where last sighted as they are still an excellent way of bringing in sightings especially from people that don't use the Internet or social media . Also if not already done inform the park staff, local pubs rowing club etc

I hope she is found very soon X

Rose
Bless her, hope she is found very soon as she is limping. She could be sheltering somewhere in the same area x
