Elsie was caught at 4.15 this morning by going to Bunty beagle.
Well done Anne-Louise - your journey was worth it.
Yes Sammie - I also advised against a trap but was confident she would go to AM and the buddy beagle. Trap is always a last resort. Last edited: 2016-01-24 07:46:44 by Jenny & Tiga k9tracker

Jenny, hoping you agree with my thoughts, have put this on the MT forum also:
"Beagles however scared tend not to go to far from home and often return close to the area, but this maybe at night. However what will seriously affect this dog is an extrendable lead still attached as it will make a noise when draggin along the floor whereas the slip lead wont. Normally up to 3 miles radius for a Beagle to stay in but this constant dragging of a lead is causing a much higher risk.
I don't feel a trap will work well as a noise will cause a problem with the handle of the lead getting into it, then you have the problem that if the trap is set off it could catch the leads in the mechanism and pull them tight around a dogs neck. Personnally I would not there for risk a trap"
Maybe do a meat trail to try and entice her back to a safe area if you get a sighingLast edited: 2016-01-23 22:06:05 by Sammie
