- Barney was found by a lady who lives near to where he went missing. She contacted the police who went to collect him & he was reunited with a family member.
There has been a lot of media attention surrounding this tragic accident & it is hoped that now Barney has been safely reunited, the family can now grieve in peace.
Condolences to the family for their loss. - 2016-01-27 17:56 Max - Area Co-ordinator - Cornwall & Area Volunteer - Durham & Ireland

- The owners are aware of search dogs able to help if they require them.
sheltielover, I will contact HMS Raleigh & ask if they can help in any way, maybe if they have cctv. There are a lot of people down there at the moment, so we are trying to coordinate something, so as not to scare him away. - 2016-01-27 15:51 Unknown

- Is it possible for someone local to contact HMS Raleigh, the troops cover a lot of land inaccessible to other searchers.
- 2016-01-27 10:02 Mel
- Condolences to family, so sad. Barney must be very frightened and confused, gently gently approach needed I think; I pray he's safe soon. Xxx
- 2016-01-27 09:57 Owl
- I have just been speaking with Max. The problem at present is that a lot of people have got involved very quickly via the police page before anyone has had time to organise a proper search plan. The main thing we need is for people to stay calm, do not shout or chase! We need Barney to settle in one area so that he can calm down and be lured. Johnw85 thank you. Best thing is just to walk calmly, and if you see Barney don't make eye contact or move towards him. Sit down or walk slowly at an angle, and drop a bit of food.

- Have added my mobile number & Owls to the main page, to try & act as coordinators for any sightings & to liaise with people in the area.
have spoken to BBc Radio Cornwall & they have recorded some advice & will put out in bulletins.
