- It really is a heart over head decision to pay a reward but show me an owner who wouldn't do this to get their dog back, unfortunately there are people who take advantage .Pleased to see Nellie is safe x

- I still stick to my previous statement but must add the fact if this had happened to me I would do the same as mickfowles, these dogs are part of the family and not just a pet.
It's a shame the punishment for such thefts was not any harsher, it's also time the Law realised these are more than just pets to many of us. Glad to see Nellie back where she belongs, Happy days. - 2016-02-03 09:33 mickfowles
- I've just logged in to inform site that we managed to recover Nellie from in all truth the thieves, but knowing and proving as they say is a different matter. Needless to say I gave them fifty quid and recovered our Nellie. All the details are now with the Police and my only hope is that they take this issue of dog theft seriously. I was burgled many years ago and can honestly say the sense of total loss when Nellie was stolen was far and beyond the feelings I had after the burglary. I cannot thank you all enough for your help, advice and kind words. Keep up the good work. Its appreciated. Cheers. Mick Fowles.

- Fantastic news and I am sure that every one of us dog owners would have handed over money just to get our beloved dog back. We know this is not right, but we would go to the ends of the earth for our faithful friend. Stay safe snow Nellie so pleased you re safely back home. Xxx

- Post from owner
NELLIES HOME.
I cannot thank everybody on Facebook enough for the quite outstanding display of human kindness and concern today. This has gone absolutely viral and because of all the exposure, we suddenly received a call from someone who said they could retrieve her. A 45min drive and a reward for finding ???resulted in us re-uniting Ronnie and Nellie. I know what you're all going to say re the finding? but all we were concerned about was her being found. Please share / post this to everybody who was instrumental in achieving this fantastic outcome. I will now have to inform the Police, the microchip registration people etc etc etc of our fantastic news. Once again.
THANKYOU EVERYBODY. - 2016-02-02 21:38 Helen - Regional Co-ordinator - Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridge

- because you have the liscence plate which is registered (ive checked dvla) you can request information from them about the owner which can give you their name and address for a fee
