Cheshire West and Cheshire are awesome with their stray dogs - Sefton council has one of the WORST PTS rates in the country - they say it's because they have the worst behaved dogs in the country - whatever Sefton council - they also say the FOI question about their euthanise rate given as about 19% of ALL their stray dogs is wrong! They say it's only 12% - yet the national average is about 5% this year - so 12% isn't something to be proud of. The stray dog contracts for Sefton is with Animalwardens ltd - the same person is also involved with Merseyside dogs home LTD - strangely this is also Merseyside dogs home CHARITY - and their dogs are rehomed without neuter/spay/ vac or indeed homecheck - despite this they say they are fully supported by dogs trust in the area - yet Dogs Trust are known for helping other councils with with spay and neuter vouchers. Makes Leigh dogs and cats home look OK in comparison - All of these facts are available on line by the way - I'll happily provide links if anyone disputes any of this.

bo thank you so much for this brilliant way of getting these found dogs on doglost. someone else on doglost does this for my local council chesire west and Cheshire. hope they are all home soon, though I believe only 40% are reclaimed!!!!

Thank you for taking the time to list this found dog and ensuring the safety of the dog.
Please ensure that you notify your local Dog Warden and the local Police Station - in Scotland you MUST inform your local Police Station and if possible contact the Dog Warden also.
The found dog may have a Microchip or a Tattoo - please have the dog scanned and checked for a tattoo at a vet's so that owners may be contacted as soon as possible.
Please check on our Missing pages in case the Found dog has been registered as missing with us.
If possible please add a photo as this greatly assists our work in matching Found dogs with Missing dogs.
