I think this story should be run in national news papers! ..I really feel these dogs would have been better being rescued and handed to RSPCA, when seen dumped...I dread to think what may have happened to them now - Heartbreaking to think about...Just pray they've been rescued xx

susieq666. These people probably have no value on humans feelings, let alone animals. They just dont care. They only think of three things, me, myself, and I At least the dogs are safe. Hope this scum has no other animals. And should get a life ban on keeping any animals

Yes Kent police have details of the location of this van ( Yesterday) and will be making some enquiries

Words fail me! This is a worry as these doggies may have been dumped elsewhere already and could be in danger from roads.Good that the person who witnessed this had their mobile phone to hand to take regn no. but only if the police follow this up and pass to RSPCA.

What a despicable thing to do by this so called human. Hope the RSPCA have bneen informed as abandoning an animal is illegal. The Act came into force in 1960, and was repealed in 2006. However the 1960 still stands. (I actually read about this recently) A prison sentence can be give for this offence too, or a fine. At least the registration number is visible (If genuine), and someone who knows this low will recognize the dogs the van, and the dogs

Frustrating if nobody struck while the iron was hot and called police at the time as they could have found him with dogs still in the van. If 24hrs has passed before being reported the police are less likely to do anything as the report will have looked a little lame and non-urgent in the first place and they will feel there will be little chance of finding him with the dogs still with him. Can Jayne ascertain if the police were given this info as the reg number looks genuine to the vehicle on dvla site and tax/mot is in place so a name and addrwss wld be immediately available

I haven't heard from police, but have given Jayne details of van etc hoping she may get more response from them than me. Original witness has been asked to report to RSPCA and police but don't know if she has done so.

That reg number does belong to a renault..which this van is..and it is taxed and mot'd so police should have been able to visit owner by now? Report says police are aware? Can poster find out what has happened from police?

I am in no way in contact with person who saw this happen but wanted to make people aware of van and if it's anyone's stolen dogs? Can't be of anymore help I'm afraid.

Thank you for taking the time to list this found dog and ensuring the safety of the dog.
Please ensure that you notify your local Dog Warden and the local Police Station - in Scotland you MUST inform your local Police Station and if possible contact the Dog Warden also.
The found dog may have a Microchip or a Tattoo - please have the dog scanned and checked for a tattoo at a vet's so that owners may be contacted as soon as possible.
Please check on our Missing pages in case the Found dog has been registered as missing with us.
If possible please add a photo as this greatly assists our work in matching Found dogs with Missing dogs.
