98227. Luna, is she home yet?.
terrierlady
Could owner get TV or national newspaper to publicise this ridiculous situation?
Skywalker99
So Luna, who has a home, is taking up a space in rescue while some other dog with no home, who desparately needs a rescue space, will get pts....
Mel
Surely they can tell by Luna's reactions to the person that she is the rightful owner? What's going to happen now? Poor Luna and poor owner, its ridiculous 😢 xxx

This looks like Luna in rescue http://www.hullanimalwelfare.co.uk/dogs/debbie/, thank you Jayne, such a bonkers system, they would rather spend more money looking after her than take the £150 and let her go home. I don't suppose the owner can afford to pursue this through the courts. Apparently they only rehiomed in the home area....which is why they won't let Luna go home, but they ain't rehoming her! A touch of humanity would not go amiss.Last edited: 2016-02-13 14:35:00 by Skywalker99

Or ring www.doglaw.co.uk helpline....and ask for advice

That is ridiculous! The money to release her was raised yesterday and is now being refunded. Owner should go to the police as dog was presumably stolen in the first place....if she can prove ownership and rescue can be paid then owner should have her back. Sadly a lesson in why dogs should be chipped.

Yes I I have heard from owner she is in Hull rescue.
However they will NOT give her back
They are saying she is now their property.
Have we not got enough dogs in rescue.
Here is the owner that LOVES her and wants her back
What is wrong with this rescue
They should be over the moon

Read on Durham Dog Theft Awareness Facebook that Luna has been found in Hull - appeal for funds ongoing to pay release fee to rescue and transport to bring her home as owner does not drive.

I have shared with doglost FB & Twitter. Hope Luna is safely back at home soon. X
