Monty is home!!! Here is the message I received from Caroline - He’s home, he’s home! We spent 6 hours catching him this morning. He was still in the fenced solar park. The manager let us in with one of his engineers who stayed with us for hours and we eventually managed to corner him after much coaxing and have brought him home. I can’t tell you how relieved we are. He’s now asleep with his sister by my feet as if nothing ever happened!

Thank you so much for all your help and support. I can’t believe how wonderful so many people have been although I never ever want to go there again.

Been out with the owners this morning, they've spotted him. But he seems to have got himself inside a solar panel farm, on Belmey Lane (off Sheepwash Lane), on the Southwick Estate, Denmead.
The good news is that the solar park is completely fenced in and the workers there have let the owners in to look. Not so good is that it's vast and when Monty is spotted, he bolts.
The plan is probably to leave some traps and hope he's hungry!

Thanks Jayne. Monty was nowhere to be seen when his owners got there, they will be back first thing in the morning.

Bumping....thanks for the update.

The owners let me know there was a sighting about 5:30pm near to Furzley Golf Course. They drove straight out there, haven't heard anymore since, Please note that Monty is a nervous dog from Southern Ireland so if you see him please don't 'give chase' just let the owners know so they can take his more confident sister out to reasure & intice him to them

A few posters have been put up around Purbrook Heath, Purbrook and Denmead area, including lamp posts near Denmead school and the park. Leaflets have also been posted to some houses in the area and commercial properties (Parklands industrial estate). Judging by the weather tonight, I think more posters will certainly need to be put up around the area. It's a shame that there haven't been any more sightings today.

Another new rescue escapee I hope he is found safe and soon .

Been away from computer and only just seen this. I will share locally, I can't see anything on any of the local Facebook sites at all so it needs publicising. Posters are needed around Purbrook Heath, along the main road by the pub, across where new houses are being built - lots of places to hide there. I will go that way with mine tomorrow.

Hi I'm a Many Tears Dog Fosterer who has prior experience with rescue dogs that have gone missing, I have an infra-red trail camara, feeding station equipment & a Dog trap, more than happy to mee up with Monty's owners to both search for & pass on what I've learnt: I Live in Purbrook/Widley: not sure how to send one - to-one info, so am risking crank calls by giving my mobile no. Please only call me if you are the owner or involved in Monty's retrieval. No is 07738051897 & my name is Sue

Heard from owners last seen running along the road from Purbrook Heath to Denmead. Hope he's found real soon X

I agree I think this should read purbrook. Also I found this on Facebook posted earlier today. This post was shared earlier today I have asked for more information. Xxx Little black dog with blue collar running scared by Hampshire rose pub tried to catch it but was very scared now headed up towards purbrook Heath if you know anyone who is missing their dog

Is there a typo on 'where lost'? As this is my area but I have never heard of Turbek?
