You probably right Mugsy- good to see you again the otherday. We've made about 6 calls to the owners now & still cant get photo from them. I don't know if anyone lives nearer to them than I do- bout 40mins in good traffic- hour in not so good. Other than going to their house I don't know what to do.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Tracyb, he is more likely to be taken to Marina in Huddersfield from Liversidge. I really need a picture of him before I can do anything because I can't do the walking needed. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I've got friend working in WF15, her parents live in village where this dog went missing from -no thing appears to have been done. I didn't get any response to my txt asking for pics- hope Keelah more effective than me. I've a soft spot for collies & don't like to think of this guy out on his own. If picked up think he may get to Springfeilds at Ossett- they are one of the nearest as far as I knowLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This one can also go forward for the yorkshire evening post theft feature, if we can get hold of owners!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

A photo would be such a help - people REALLY DO respond to postering in a big way - don't give up, Alfie's owner - stay positive and you will be reunited! Let's get those posters out there. JanieM xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

owner needs to check Marina Kennels, Ponderosa Kennels as these also have dogs taken in by public, may also be an idea to send Leeds Dogtrust as they take dogs from the kennels as well. My friends have not seen any stray dogs in the area- would be better with photo. Fingers crossed that Alfie's found soon.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Spoken to owner today still no sightings of Alfie. Trying to find a photo to send into admin. Have asked if they can register and let us know of any updates also stressed the importance of going into rescue kennels to have a look and not just rely on telephone calls. Owner has been ringing Mount Pleasant regularly and looking around the area. Jan xxx Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Could he possibly get taken to Mount Pleasant kennels too ? Owners need to check all the pounds out as he has already been missing for 7 days and if he has been taken to one of them he could be moved on to a rescue once his 7 days are up. Hope a photo is sent in really soon ! Stay safe and come home very soon Alfie xxxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Took poster with me to bootsale- shame no photo & it is a little bit out of area but even the police must know what a border collie looks like -especially one that's chewed his tail- Will update friends in morning that he's still missingLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

As soon as admin receive a picture and posters are emailed to helpers they need to be put up in the area a.s.a.p. lamposts, entrances to parks, vets, petshops, ask postie (go to sorting office), milkmen, binmen, taxi drivers, schools, youth clubs, pubs, mcdonalds, dog training clubs and deliver to houses etc. Handout smaller posters to people, especially dog walkers. Put A4 poster in car windows. Check Police stations and Dog Warden. RSPCA and rescue centres need checking regularly and preferably visited in person, by owner or someone who knows Alfie. I don't live too far way, in Gomersal. I will keep a look out. My son is a postie at Cleckheaton. Once a poster is available I will give some to him so the posties can look out when on their rounds. Also poster shops in Cleckheaton such as Tescos, Spenborough Guardian office, newsagents. Which part of Hightown did he go missing? Was he taken or just wandered? Stay safe Alfie sweetheart!
