How sad for the owners and the new dog about to start a lovely new life. I do understand some previous comments re being more careful of these foreign dogs but it shouldn't be a criticism of the owners, just a need for much more information from the rescues about these dogs. My romanian rescue bolted out of the house when the door was opened and also ran away twice on walks but I was very lucky to find him safe and sound. Now I always post on the rescue site when people ask about the dogs that they need to stay on a long lead for as long as necessary and they will bolt if afraid or startled or just given an opportunity. Nothing but sympathy for Marleys parents xx

Far be it from me to blame people, but I'm surprised a 'new' dog was even out and off the lead. So many seem to get away in circumstances that should never occur.

Yet another heartbreaking tragedy. Clearly new owners need far greater education in caring for these poor dogs upon arrival.

A very sad ending for the poor dog ,there is so many foreign rescue dogs missing is it fair on the dogs to bring them here ? I think it just adds more to their traumatised lives .

Have had some very sad news that Marley has been found on the train track

Marley is still missing I am in close contact with owner of the rescue
And am actively searching too.
No further sightins since st Johns road sighting.

have been out putting posters about and spoke to two postmen and vets and post office and dog walkers
Carol at the rescue has rang dog warden and all vets
Lots of people about is a busy estate
Will return for another search at night fall

Been out for a search round but difficult as dark and it is likes maze up there, will be busy up there in the morning with people going to work and school.
Hopefully his found somewhere warm to sleep tonight and have news in the morning fingers crossed.
Have spoken to the rescue rescueddogs4life who are doing all the right things.
Marley had not long arrived at his new foster home and shot out the door carer is very worried and has been out looking lots.
Will be more searching tomorrow

Poster everywhere. Register lost with local vets phone dog warden daily. Checke website daily. Check SDK stray dogs daily. Check selling sites.
