Well done one and all lovely reunited picture.
Not sure if this will help you but when I got my rescue girl I kept her tied around my waist wherever we went even in the house very difficult at times but when I thought she knew her new surroundings well enough is when I decided to let off the lead tied around me in the garden only.
I also never let her outside in the garden alone either.
May I wish you all the luck and have as I have a very happy rescue girl an extremely rewarding experience.
Good luck xxxx
mathers22
Brilliant - well done. Good luck in the future - she needs to be stuck to the owners with Velcro. Sometimes it takes something like this to realise how vulnerable rescue dogs are when they arrive at their new home xx

My sentiments exactly Owl. We are all human and mistakes are made. Let's concentrate on getting this girl back home and not criticising the owners.

CROSS POSTED POST FROM OWNER:

We are a young family, with two babies who have given her a lot of love and attention. My grandad accidentally let her out by opening his garage and we are all very upset. We know it doesn't look good on us, but we can't do anymore than we are for her. Accidents happen and we wish for people not to make us feel worse than we already do at this extremely stressful time
susieq666
Jot is absolutely right, although he/she will get slated for saying it. I'm shocked at the number of 'new' dogs, rescue or not, who get loose. Owner and dog should be attached at the hip for quite a few months. I hope Jasmine is back soon. (Perhaps stop taking her visiting?)
billybob
Will keep an eye on this page and facebook for updates and go out and look for her tomorrow. Perhaps constructive comments on how best to handle a rehomed dog are more helpful after she is found. Thank you.

Oh Dear...extra alerts sent to helpers in WA4,5,8.
jaybee
sorry but jot cotswolds is right ive had my rescue girl 5 months now shes still scared and would bolt you need to be more than extra vigilant with a rescue dog but hope Jasmine is reunited very soon
DogLostMajorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West
Thanks everyone.

Scouse Pets 2 have been supporting owner and are out in the area searching for JAZZIE. It was them who got her last time when she was missing in FORMBY. As usual they have been FANTASTIC.

Family are devastated and it was an elderly relative who left the garage door open. :(

All being well with the wonderful help from Doglost Jasmine will be found again. Hopefully the rescuers will now realise they MUST take greater care, it could take weeks if not months for a rescue dog to settle in to their new surroundings before visiting anywhere else especially when nervous xxxLast edited: 2016-02-16 21:43:39 by c

Can email alerts please be sent out.

Have shared across fb. Owners and helpers are out searching for her in the area.

THANK YOU to everyone who is helping in the search and also sharing her details. Rooting for her to be back home soon. x
Jot cotswolds
Please...can the owners here just take a second to understand a rehomed dogs instinct to escape? A rehomed dog needs to be secured...safely...not loose to run out of an open home or car door. This is just inept care...of course it will bolt...new owners need to be ready to take on a rescue dog and understand it will have no desire to stay with you when it sees an opportunity to run.Last edited: 2016-02-16 20:04:03 by Jot cotswolds

JulieH
Well done to that searcher ! :)

Linda - This is second hand from someone there - she was sighted in the car park near where she had run off - the person who sighted her rang a number on the poster (owners) - owner then passed info to someone searching - she went to one of the searchers dogs to say hello - said searcher threw treats whilst not looking at her and lying down - Jasmine got within reach and grabbed.
Meru
