- Jayne just phoned dog warden and thanked them personally as Rusty was found in my Town. As you are aware from previous comments, these dogs were stolen . And when the finder of Rusty had the dog, these people tried to get him back. The dog warden has I formed me of two sites in the area.....could Fly be in one of them. Can your CJ Police co-ordinators check them out. Let me know if you want details. X

Dear all!! i'm very glad to report that D's son travelled to Essex already, believes the dog is definitely Rusty as do the rspca and Rusty is already back in Cambridgeshire from where he was stolen!!! Rusty had a missing nail on one of his paws which has helped to lead to D's son Identifying him. Thanks SO SO much to all for all those who shared and liked the poster and posts on this page as well as those people who took time to take care of Rusty when he was straying in Essex and also the dog warden and rspca kennels...as it has really has made all the difference to bring him back home. I have requested to be there once D meets Rusty once again yippee.
Now all thats left to say is this isnt over yet as one boy is missing and i cannot give up on him #helpfindfly !

- I have phoned Braintree Dog warden this morning who have the dog they found in Braintree in their emergency kennels. They have asked that the owner phone them on 01376 551414 ext 2217. I have telephoned the mobile on this post and passed over this information. They would not give me any info as I am not the owner.

- i have spoken to the owners daughter who has said the owner is currently in hospital having an operation, he had 3 dogs in the garden, the jr and saluki were stolen by travellers, daughter has been in touch with RSPCA and awaiting a reply, finder carried dog for 30 mins looking for an owner when a van with travellers pulled up and tried to take dog back but couldnt so drove off again, daughter hopeful the Braintree dog is the right one, saluki still missing

- Rusty was stolen with Fly, a one year old Saluki, from his elderly widowed owner's home, along with chickens and equipment from his shed. Rusty and Fly's owner is devastated by their loss and just wants them safely back home with him. This is a plea from their owner, a widower and pensioner:
"The Jack Russell really helps me. I have got a bad heart and very bad arthritis – I really suffer but Rusty helps me to sleep. He used to sleep under my arm on my bed. He makes so much fuss of me and he always knew when I was in pain. I am heartbroken. I have cried and cried. I keep thinking about them being left in a cold shed being starved to death. I can't get the image out of my mind. These dogs are part of the family; they are my family. I just hope this might touch these people's hearts and get them to let them out. I love them both dearly and I want them back. Rusty is 10 years old now and I have had him all his life. Please have a heart."
