RIP sweet Joe. - 2016-08-22 19:33 ClaireC
- Lovely old Joe sadly left today over Rainbow Bridge. Pat, his lovely and devoted fosterer through lifecommitmentrescue was with him at the end. Joe had developed a cough which turned out to be a tumour. RIP lovely old fella, free of pain but now young once again. Xxx

- As at today, this old boy is still with his lovely fosterer and will remain so until.....

- So pleased he is being so cared for. I dont think he was abandoned by someone with dementia either. As my mother died from this disease too. I think this was done by someone with a very sane mind. Perhaps wanrted a younger "Model" such a despicable act. Words fail me. Of course thre majority of dog owners are very caring. Pleased he is okay. Keep us posted

- Fantastic news. He looks so content, just like my Harley who was also abandoned at the age of 9 years old, but at least he was left where he would be found. Have a happy life Joe/Reg. God bless the people who are looking after you. xxx

- Todays update on the lovely Joe is that he is under the care of Lifecommitment vet. He will return next week for some more treatment for his traumatic time left in the wood alone and abandoned. If folk would like to contribute no matter how large or small it will help. Lifecommitmentdogrescue is run purely on donations and every penny given goes direct for the welfare of their treatment. Please log onto http://www.youcaring.com/life-commitment-dog-rescue-562801 to make that difference if you wish. Thank you.

- I totally agree with you ClaireC .

- He was found tied up in the woods on his own on the coldest night of the year! He is safe with a friend of mine through her permanent rescue and lucky for him! I do as much as possible understand dementia as we have just buried my mother in law yesterday! I personally think this was the actions of a sane person who no longer could be bothered with an animal who was getting on in years!.Sorry rant over.

- Whilst the circumstanes of this dog being found or left are not actually known, Just bare in mind that the owner may be a victim of dementia or similar and just might have a valid excuse. I am not condoning such behaviour, but trying to understand it.

- all the evil b......s that abandon their darling old dogs have no idea that sometimes, sadly not always, its the best thing they ever did for the dog. old joe here is living proof - bless him. my hubby and I especially love adopting the older dogs, they are so sweet and undemanding and settle in as though our home has been their home all their lives.

- thankyou a million times to the lovely kind man or woman who has given this dear old dog a lovely comfy sofa to sleep on. he looks soooooo content, and thanks to doglost to putting him on the internet.

- I am totally bewildered by people who do this. I have just adopted an old Staffie 9 years old and was dumped in a TESCO car park, so I suppose at least they knew he would be found, but to tie him up in the woods and leave him is beyond me. Thank god he is now safe and warm in a loving environment. It won,t take him long to adjust. I have only had my one for just IVER two weeks and you would think he had lived here forever. Xxx

- 2016-04-14 18:51 ClaireC
- Poor old golden oldie. But you will pull at heart strings and there will be a fab home where you can rest your legs and chin on someones knee. Xx

- I knew he was found tied up poor lad but brilliant news about a rescue space. X
- 2016-04-13 18:15 Bo
- In the early hours of a very cold morning a week ago this boy was found tied up in a woods alone and scared and very very cold. The community pulled together and he was rescued and taken to the vets. He is now in a pound holding kennels tucked up under a heat lamp. He is totally bewildered, a very frail gentleman and was totally frozen when he came in to the vets. This lovely oldie has a rescue space offered and will leave the pound in the next couple of days.
