Any Tredegar friends in dukes town or there about? There's a jack Russell running about in scwrfa road that looks like my stolen dog Rio. He's black and white with a docked tail. Please can someone help and have a look please? I can't get there or I'd look myself. This is Rio. Can someone please check? I would be eternally grateful. Thank you.

I read this on his FB
How it happened.
I pulled up outside my house at about 9:30 that morning and there was a white pickup style truck in front of me. The type builders and councils use. A scrap merchant. immediately sped off down the street. I thought that's odd. They normally go slow to spot scrap. A few mins later we realised the dogs were gone. They had only just gone in the garden.
A bit too much of a coincidence I think.

Also these dogs are not chipped.
When they were stolen they were about to be
The owner saw the vehicle that he believes stole them
He arrived home and the vehicle rushed away.
It was hust after he realised

Have spoken with Gwent police the number is on a niche system as stolen however there is no ongoing investigation at present. If there is evidence /proof and this is given to police to follow then action will be taken.
To help i have switched to Stolen x posted new link on FB plus sent twitter alerts. CJ.

I have asked owner for the crime number but nothing
HE just said the police were not interested.
It seems owner is just doing things on his FB page sharing etc.
Last week a dog was found after 6 months missing
Hope these two get reunited soon

SIA IS A MALAMUTE LOOK AT HER MASK AND RIO IS A JACK RUSSELL WITH A STUMPY TAIL AND WHITE MARKS AROUND THE MUZZLE. HAVE YOU SEEN OR PURCHASED EITHER OR BOTH OF THESE DOGS..THEIR FAMILY IS WAITING DESPERATELY FOR THEIR RETURN. ANY NEWS OR SIGHTINGS
I need to check that with police as looks like its just a reference number- incident 246 on 7/4/16 so unsure if this has been treated as a crime. I will text owner to make contact direct so can see what has been said to police. Also need to know if these dogs are microchipped and if so to update that.

According to the following fb post, there IS a Crime Reference Number, which I noted in the comments when I shared.

Angus, as the lister and Admin, can the status be updated to STOLEN to trigger the additional procedures within DogLost? The same applies to SIA (Dog ID 99094).

Has the owner reported stolen dog to Police and received a crime reference number?

I go on the owners FB and am so sorry these dog seem to have been stolen from the garden.
I did suggest maybe put up a reward.
Owner unfortunately does not have the money to do that.
Can anyone advise me if owner or myself can get help via FB?
I don't want to do anything I should not
